Great Expectations: Book Review.Even though I finished this book in January, I have been meaning to blog a book review about this awesome book. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. This is indeed a wonderful book, although I was bored at times (very little though). It's a classic! And such a cunning story with odd characters who you fall in love with you hate. It starts off with a young orphan, Phillip Pirrip who calls himself Pip. He lives with his older sister and her husband, The Gargerys, Joe and Mrs. Joe Gargery. He is threatened by convicts, and brought into a rich woman's home, heart broken by a beautiful young lady, comes into a great sum of money, meets his benefactor and it's not who he expects, is taken on many adventures and his friend, Herbert Pocket stays by him through out most of his adventures. It's a wonderful tale! As I read, I fell in love with Herbert, Pip's dear friend. He is just a fascinating man, who is witty, funny and clever. I rate this book a 5/5, ***** 5 stars! Even though it's a bit long, I recommend this book to anyone who loves classics, or loves Charles Dickens, or who wants to get into Charles Dickens. This isn't my first Charles Dickens, I have read The Christmas Carol, I do recommend you read The Christmas Carol for your first Charles Dickens so you get used to his style. I want to own Great Expectations! So, I will have to make a trip to Powell's Books to grab it up.
(Summaries take too long, so this is just a review:) This is where you can read a summary/plot-
