Hello everyone!!

It’s a Sunday morning (5.30 am) and I am sipping my green tea and eagerly waiting for the newspaper, so till the time my paper comes, I thought of utilizing my time in writing this post :)Today, I am going to write about Green Tea and the various ways we can use it!!Green Tea and its many uses!
First of all let’s have a little insight on this mighty thing…

Green tea is full of polyphenols, phytochemicals with potent antioxidant properties that gives green tea its bitter flavor along with an array of health benefits including its cancer-fighting properties. (I won’t really go in the details of all the health benefits here because I believe we all are very much aware of them)Green Tea and its many uses!

Here are a few ways in which you can use green tea apart from making a hot cuppa:1. Use green tea as a plant fertilizer :You can use the left over tea leaves or tea bags in the plant soil, green tea leaves improves the soil to a great extent but make sure you remove the tea bag before using it.2. Use it as a skin toner: Every time you brew green tea, keep aside a few teaspoons of it (unsweetened) and use it later as a face toner. Or you can make ice cubes out of Green Tea and use them on tired and dull skin aswell. It’s chemical free and works great for acne prone skin. 3. Treat skin blemishes: Place a used tea bag on your pimples/blemishes, or cover with loose tea, and let it sit for about 15mins. Repeat daily until the blemishes are gone. 4. Sooth your eyes:Cool the used tea bags and put them on your sore/stressed eyes. Green tea also helps in reducing dark circles and puffiness around the eyes.5. Use it as a face mask:Take green tea leaves (1 tea bag), powdered/crushed oats, honey and a couple of teaspoons of hot water.Put a teaspoon of dried green tea leaves in a bowl. Pour a tiny bit of hot water in the bowl and stir it. Now add 2 large pinches of powdered oatmeal into the bowl. Lastly add in 1 teaspoon of honey and let it sit for 2 minutes before using. Apply on face and leave for 15 – 20 mins and scrub it off with cold water.

Another great face pack can be made using brewed tea 2-3 teaspoons, white sugar 1 tsp and lemon juice 1 tsp. Mix everything together (do not let the sugar crystals melt) and apply on face and neck and leave it for 15 mins then scrub it off and wash with cold water.
I personally love to use green tea bags for comforting my sore eyes, love the face packs and yes as a toner too :)
Do share your lovely comments on how you found this post and also if you have any other innovative ideas for using green tea :)
