Grow Your Wedding Business with Bridestory

Posted on the 09 September 2015 by Genzelkisses

I’ve been in the industry for a year now. I took up Bridal & Fashion Hi-Definition Hair and Makeup course at HD Makeup Academy and graduated last year August 2014. I can say, my life has totally changed after that. Running your own business is no joke especially if you’re a one-man-team. I do the service, marketing, promotion, and even drive for myself to my makeup gigs.

It’s very important for a wedding supplier to build his/her own online portfolio where clients can easily browse through all the works and photos. Then I found Bridestory.

Bridestory is a site for both wedding clients and suppliers. They call wedding suppliers as vendors in the site. Are you planning to get married or you have services to offer for weddings and events? Then you got to the right place.

I signed up on the site as a regular client, didn’t notice there’s a different sign up page if you’re a vendor so accidentally, I now have two accounts on the site: as a client and a vendor. Well, I’m planning to get married after 5 years so I’ll keep my other account but as of the moment, what I’m building is my vendor account as a makeup artist and hairstylist who do traditional/conventional makeup or airbrush.

Signing up on the site is very easy. If you’re a vendor like me, create your own account as a vendor. You will receive a notification email to confirm your registration. Then you need to follow simple steps to have your profile published on the site.

  1. Make sure your contact number is working. They’ll be sending you a verification code on there that you need to input on the site to have your phone verified.
  2. Add your best profile photo and basic important information.
  3. You will be asked to add your projects, at least 5, then they will review your application and inform you once your account is published and you’re ready to get the ball rolling.

While waiting for the confirmation from Bridestory, you can add more information regarding your business, they’ll lead you to that page once you’re logged in. My profile is still under review and I will update you guys once it’s published!

I hope you find this post useful especially if you’re a wedding supplier like me and aims to establish a strong portfolio online. What’s the best thing with Bridestory, it’s not just a general page, it’s a website for people involved in the wedding scene. If you want to check the site, just go to Bridestory.com.
