Hair and Scalp Care: Celeteque Clarifying Shampoo

Posted on the 29 July 2014 by Genzelkisses

After I survived my severe hair fall problems last year, I promised myself that I will take extra care for my hair and scalp so I will never have to face that scary phase in my life again. Our hair is our crowning glory and we must pay attention to it as we do with our makeup, skincare, and body.

Every single day we put different products to our hair like shampoos, conditioner, treatments, gel, mousse, and other styling products. These products cause build-up to our scalp and hair that ordinary shampoos cannot remove so I learned that I have to use clarifying shampoo at least once a week.

I was actually invited for the launch of this product (that was last year I believe) but I wasn’t able to attend due to work schedule. After a few months, I finally bought this product from Watsons in SM Southmall. It’s P199.00 for 250 ml.

Product Description, Directions, and Ingredients for your reference.

Celeteque Clarifying Shampoo is not your ordinary shampoo that you can use everyday. If you do that, it can make your hair dry. What it does? It removes those residue of the hair products that you use. I use this every Saturday then proceed using a hair treatment then I can go back to my usual hair care routine for the rest of the week.

It has a very clear (like water) but it’s more concentrated. The scent if very mild that even if you have sensitive nose, you can deal with it. This doesn’t foam as much as regular shampoos but lathers onto hair just fine. The amount shown above is enough for my short hair.  If you have longer hair, you definitely will need more.

After using it for more or less two months now, I’m happy with it. Just don’t forget to use a hair treatment after because I noticed that if you use it alone, the hair feels drier than normal because it rips off those stubborn stuff from your hair. I have included this in my June Favorites post by the way, because yeah it’s a favorite. :)

How do you totally clean your tresses? What clarifying shampoos have you tried before? If none, will you give this one a try?
