Happy New Year 2016 everyone! I know I've been away for so long and I miss my blog, I miss YOU guys! I had plans on what to do and post last month before 2015 ends but there were things that kept me very busy on the last quarter of 2015.
December is the busiest month of the year especially for us makeup artists. A lot of couples get married on this month plus Christmas parties, get together, and other big events. There are times when I have bookings for the entire week. I'm so thankful to all my clients and I wish more bookings for this year! It's a very tiresome job yet fulfilling since you love what you do.
Aside from makeup gigs, I also hold Intensive 1-on-1 Personal Makeup classes. You can go for one-on-one or group of 3 to 5. My last group class was 3 (they are siblings), then by this month, their mom and 2 cousins also enrolled for the makeup workshop. Makeup gigs make me go places I've never been before. I personally love pre-nup shoots. Whenever I have clients in the heart of Manila, Waze is my best friend. However, sometimes it gives a wrong route, and for the second time I was hailed by a traffic policeman, and I bet you already know what happened.
My dad also visited here in the country last month. He was here for a week so I had to cancel party invitations and other events for that week that he was here.
One of the highlights for 2015, I adopted a puppy/dog! Sorry for the blurry photo. It was taken a while ago after I gave her a warm bath. She's a rescue dog and turned 1 year yesterday. I got her last month. Well it's actually my dad's idea to adopt her. She has been neglected by the old owners. Shih tzu / toy dogs are in-house dogs but she was placed outside, no bath for months, eating human food, and barely getting attention. Being a dog lover, my dad's heart was broken seeing her when he visited his friend (the old owner). Honestly, I wasn't ready to own a dog. I want one but not soon since I'm a busy person and I work on a budget for myself to survive, but who would say No to this loving puppy. She's so sweet! Having a dog as a pet is like having my own child. We go to the vet for her checkup and vaccines, I buy her stuff, and of course love her with all my heart. She makes me feel excited going home knowing she's waiting for me. I wasn't able to buy any gift for myself last Christmas. My budget all went to her necessities but that's okay. Chuchai (my dog) is a great stress-reliever. I'll show you guys her photos once her fur has fully grown. She had to get summer cut to get rid of all her fur (it was stinky and had mats) and I'm currently treating her skin allergies that she got for not bathing for long. Anywhoo, I'm so excited for her and her fur to grow longer!
Before 2015 ends, I received one of the most memorable gift as a blogger. I'm one of the Top 6 Finalists (out of 72 nominated blogs), Beauty Blogging Category for Bloggys 2015. I didn't think it was serious until I saw my name as one of the awardees. I wasn't able to campaign for my blog but you guys made me one of the finalists! You are awesome! Whatever this blog has become, I owe it to YOU. Thank you so much to those who nominated and voted for Genzel Kisses (now Gen-zel.com). Thank you for sticking with me through all these years.
Recent Update: Finally bought something for myself this week. I got these Victoria's Secret Gym bag and Tumbler from GlitterBox PH on Instagram for P1,000.00. It's my first legit gym bag ever! My other ones are just old backpacks and the previous one was only P99.00 from Factory Outlet. I don't know but it gets me more excited to go to the gym and drink lotsa water lol!
