I have never been to the East Coast. I have often referred to the EC as the wrong coast. I love Cali and nice weather. So this is going to be a new experience. I'm slowly starting to like living on the East Coast to be honest. The hardest thing is now staying up for games on the West Coast. In Charleston we hope to be here for more than a few years. We want this to be a place where we put down some roots. Also we should be here for a while because he is know a manager. A few weeks ago I wrote a post saying bye to everything Phoenix so we thought that we would write a letter to our new city.

When we got in we knew this was going to be different than all the other places we have lived minus Topeka, Kansas. Our first weekend here was one that we won't ever forget. At lunch we made new friends (people sitting at the bar eavesdropping on our conversation) that helped us with more places to look. (That is one thing that we weren't use to is people just talking to us and helping us.) We also saw a girl having a heart attack while we were looking for a place to rent.We are looking forward to being outdoors more. Gary wants to go camping and more outdoorsy stuff. (This sounds be interesting considering I have never been camping.)
New friends. We want to be here a while. I found a local blogger that I have been following for a while. We didn't realize it until I transferred my Junior League membership. I am so excited to meet some JL and DZ girls soon. With baseball season right around the corner. I am about to become a baseball widow.
Travel. We want to experience everything around us. Within 6 hours are some big cities that I can't wait to go visit. And some other bloggers that I have been talking to recently. Plus reconnect with my first blate with Rachel from Postcards with Rachel. (love this girl.)
Closer to Family. Yes. We may be in West Virginia but considering where we were it's closer to family. We are a days drive from both sets of family. Since baseball season ends in September we may be able to go home for the holidays. (But we have decided that we will go visit a family for one holiday, but we will stay home for at least 1 holiday a year.)
Sorry for the wordiness of this blog. I can't wait to see Charleston and introduce to our new life.
