So, because of what happened to the Lil' Tiger 2 weeks ago, M and I had to cancel our yearly family trip. It was something that we had to do because traveling means that we might all get sick again and have to do the whole hospital thing all over again.
Everyone in the family went on their holidays, so I am living vicariously through them. For example, Tiffy and her partner just came back from traipsing around France and Spain. The 2 countries that are on my bucket list. Tiffy and I met up as soon as she came back and I asked her about her trip. I wanted to hear EVERYTHING about it. She told me France was beautiful but Spain, Spain stole her heart.
So here are the top 5 things to do or places to go in Spain (according to Tiffy):-
- Go to BARCELONA. She did say that things are a little bit expensive in Barcelona especially with accomodations but she manage to look for some Barcelona hotels in the heart of the city for a reasonable price. And when in Barcelona, make sure you visit the La SagradaFamilia. You know the cathedral is still unfinished? Yeah that one. It's been in construction for over a 100 years!
- Tapas, tapas, tapas! Try everything and anything twice. She said the food there is where meat lovers like me go to die (kinda hard if I am doing Meatless Mondays). Everything is made with the freshest ingredients and people there just eat non stop!
- Camp Nou. This is for M she says. For the avid soccer fanatic. She said its one of the biggest stadium in the world and it's home to FC Barcelona (she thinks). "It's MASSIVE" she said. So if you are a soccer freak nut like M, this is one of the must go to place.
- Sabatini Gardens in Madrid. The gardens are beautiful and she even got a crash course in Spanish History. The best thing about it is FREE! We like free.
- A hike up Mount Tibidabo. Yep. If you are a FRIENDS fanatic like me, you know what this Mount means. HEHE.... Tiffy said that the views from the top is breath taking.
Well... I have a bad case of the Holiday Envy now. One day, this will be off my bucket list but in the mean time, maybe I will just start planning my holiday in Spain by looking at top 10 lists of things to do on the internet. :/
