How to Combat Anger on Unnecessary Things..

Posted on the 14 July 2013 by Jasminebhatia @jas_mine7
I am about to write on something that’s so not me…Well this will be the first thought of the people who know me and my anger…But in my defense I would only like to say that my anger has sobered down over the years..and that’s why I am sharing my handy tips with you all :))
In our day to day lives we all face things which irritate us and annoy us beyond our limits but then these things are the things which we face on a daily basis and cant be avoided…Earlier I used to get so angry/irritated that those tiny little things would affect my mood badly and result in a bad day…but then I realized why to spoil a whole day over something that would keep on happening and you cant really do anything ..How to Combat Anger on Unnecessary Things..
So, for this you need to think carefully about the things that annoy you on a daily basis, big or small or even irrelevant but its important for you to identify these things.. Once you have identified the exact things that pose as a mood spoiler…work on them and try to figure out..
I am sharing some of my most common things which get me Angry and Stressed easily and how I work on them..
: Taking on more than I can handle is a surefire recipe for Anger… So I have learnt to say NO,I Know my limits and stick to them. Now I find polite ways of saying no to extra work…be it personal or professional..
: Cooking First thing I the morning is something that spoils my mood completely..I mean I don’t hate to cook but I hate it when I am asked to cook right after I am out of bed…this one thing has the ability to spoil my whole day…So now, whenever I am asked to do so..I just think of my mom and it reminds me that she has been doing the same ever since she got married…and if that doesn't work I sit back for 10 minutes sip on some cold water, get fresh and then take on the work..
: Nosy relatives are another reason for my stress..I mean who likes people who mind your business more than their own..we all have such annoying people in our lives someway or the other..so its best to limit the time you spend with such people…don’t divulge your personal things and give them new topics to talk at your back.
: Avoid conversation topics that tick your anger button, I am a true feminist and I hate to argue with people when they say that females get more opportunities or get things easy because they are women..earlier I used to have heated arguments but now I have just crossed off this topic off my list of conversations..No point repeatedly arguing about the same subject with the same people, So I have stopped bringing it up or I just excuse myself when it’s the topic of discussion.
: Not getting the desired results even after working like crazy…Now its something which we all hate..and it’s the easiest trigger for anger..So now I Stop. I Think about something else…I have realized that angry people need to stop when they are angry and calm down. Try to think of calm things, like think of your baby niece/nephew  or yummy food or something that takes your mind off. If thinking calm doesn't work, then don't think of anything. Take deep breaths. Clear your mind and relax. Then, whenever you are calm or have thought it out, approach the situation again.
Don’t get caught up in things which are not important, Do not neglect yourself..always make sure to take out some “Me TIME” for yourself!!How to Combat Anger on Unnecessary Things..
