I like photos which are edited using Instagram that they look like realistic Lomo photos. Unfortunately, Instagram can only be installed in iOS and Android phone to date. Mine is BadaOs and I can't install it of course. If your smartphone doesn't support Instagram too, there is a way you can create Instagram photo-like by using Photoshop. If you don't have Photoshop, don't worry there are many photo editing freeware you can use like GIMP or Photofiltre Studio (trial). In this case, I would use Photoshop because it has many features we need.
Actually, in Photoshop, creating effect like filters in Instagram is easy. All you need to do is use the sub-menus of Image button. For example, if you want to create Vintage effect on your photo, just use the Curve or the Hue/Saturation. Please note, you should make area selection on your photo before to eleminate wrong pixels.
Another easier way to create it is use Photoshop Action. Here, I would give you action file which consists of 10+ actions including Earlybird, Lord Kelvin, Lomo-fi, and others. Link download below.

Once you already download it. Fire up your Photoshop and press F9 then click Load Action. After that, click the action you want to apply to your photo. Quite easy right?
