I am always open to try new stuff, most especially if it’s something I’m really curious about. I have tried Bikini Waxing before and I promised myself to try Brazilian soon. Just when all the planning is running in my head, I got an invite from a super pretty waxing salon to try out their infamous Brazilian service. It’s no other than Pink Parlour Philippines. Honestly, they had caught my eyes when I was in an event just beside them at SM North Edsa. How? Well, if you’re a reader for quite a long time now, you know my obsession with pink stuff ^_^

A few facts about Pink Parlour; They were founded in 2005 and became one of the popular and leading salons for hair removal. Their most famous service is Brazilian (Boyzilian – counterpart for boys). They are also known for their permanent hair removal using Alpha Technology. If I’m not mistaken, the Pink Kitty (Pink Parlour) has landed here in the country around last year December 2012.

Once you entered, turn your face to the left and here is a super pretty pampering area for nails (hands/feet) treatments. They have 6 comfy couches and right there in front of each seat is a tub where you can directly soak your feet and do all the washing needed. There’s also a stand with with rolling foam for your legs to rest while their staff do the services you availed. You can watch via their LCD screen and while enjoying surfing using their fast internet connection which I really like in establishments.

Each seat comes with a square pillow, one for your neck too, blanket, eye cover, and this cute fuschia kitty guard! 
For their customers, they promote using pH care down there before any treatment.
Forgot to mention that there’s a cute waiting area in front.

But before that, get in to their super cute Shower. It’s my first time to experience this! 
They promote superior sanitation to make their salon the safest place for your waxing treatment.
They use UV & sterilization that kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses.
Sanitation bags for all tools.
First in Singapore to introduce waxing guidelines, including NO double dipping spatulas.
Use of Karcher hot steamer to disinfects sinks and showers.
Regular (monthly) Anti-bacterial store fogging following hospital standards.
Therapists thoroughly sanitize their hands using hospital grade sanitizers. They use disposable masks and gloves too.
Fresh laundry daily.
Girly and cozy room for their clients.
I love the fact that I’m surrounded with my favorites colors! Pink and black are on top of my list. They also have huge mirror on the side, like a dresser so you can see what is being done to you. Each room is sanitized to the highest standards like hospitals. All rooms have locks too so you are comfortable and worry-free that someone might just bumped-in while having your treatment.
They use strip and hot hard wax and Strip waxing to removes the wax using cloth strips along with the hair and dead skin cells leaving the skin smooth and exfoliated. I remember the therapist used it on stray hairs. Hard wax, it’s my second encounter. It’s a wax that hardens at it cools. I like it because it reduces the pain of hair removal when applied on skin and there is a little chance of tearing delicate skin.
Waxing is a temporary way of removing hair, hence it will definitely grow back after 3-8 weeks depending on the body part. New hair will be softer and finer as it grows. It also tends to lessens the hairs because each time you wax, hair follicles are damaged. It is indeed far way better than shaving.
Their therapists really care for their customers. They always ask if the wax is too hot or just okay so they can adjust. They insure that their customers are comfortable and if possible, experience less-zero pain on their treatments. After brazilian waxing, you are not allowed to expose your private part to public waters as contamination may occur. I was asked by my therapist to avoid it for the first 6 hours. Swimming is not advised for 24 hours I believe.
When can you have your brazilian? It is best to have it a week before or after your period as the skin is less sensitive. To avoid ingrown hairs, make sure to exfoliate your body at least weekly after 3 days.

Now I’m planning to have brazilian waxing regularly at least every after 8 weeks! I find it more hygienic.
