Hey Everyone!! I am back from break aka retirement. Whatever you want to call it. I have missed blogging and continued to read other blogs and been constantly thinking about blogging. The timing has just been off for me....until NOW!!
I'm Back!!!!
I am so excited to be back and on this new adventure. So since I last blogged a lot has happened!! I can't believe that it has been 2 years. Seriously that blows my mind. That's forever in blogging terms. I can't wrap my brain around that at all. So back then we were living in West Virginia, and thought that we would be moving to New Hampshire but because of a lot of circumstance that didn't happen. And I put the carriage before the horse and turned in my 2 weeks where I was working. Big mistake because they let me go that day. When in their employee handbook it states everyone needs to give notice. Anyway, I started looking for another job. Should be easy, right?! Remember how I said I was living in West Virginia. The one thing I didn't take into account was the coal industry. At that time it sucked. Everyone was worried about coal factories shutting down and etc. So all the coal wives started looking for jobs. So it was pretty easy on who they were going to pick. A 30 year who never knows when she is going to move or 50+ year who has lived there their entire life. (That's a no brainer, but really what about when the coal miners go back to work They are gone) So I couldn't find a job ANYWHERE. Seriously ANYWHERE!!!
So I had the great idea I should move back to Iowa. I could live with family, etc. We would still have 2 incomes. I got a job in Iowa the first week I was there. It was at a gym that I had always dreamed of working at while I was in college there. So anyway, the hubs was still killing it in WV. Then our best friend told us about a job with a team in Quad Shitties Cities. It was perfect. We would be 3 hours apart and it was kind of a step up. So he got offered the job and moved to Iowa. Awesome, right?! Well that job only lasted a season. (It's totally for the better and I am going to leave it at that.)
Now we are together in a town north of Seattle, Everett WA. Gary is the Director of Ticket Sales for the Short Season A Team, Everett Aquasox. They are the affiliate to the Seattle Mariners. While in Seattle, I worked for what I thought was my dream company. It still is but not that franchise. I'll just leave it at that. But I also got certified as Personal Trainer through ACE. I am also working on getting certified as a Group Fitness Instructor through ACE.
So there you have it. What I have been doing for the past 2 years? Working a ton of hours at the gym, studying for my PT test, and moving!!
I am so excited to be back blogging! I can't wait to get to know everyone!!
Talk soon,
Jessa
