each time you come to mind, a thousand things flash inside of me
not pain, nor sorrow nor sadness
but a lingering kind of longing that doesn’t fade away
it’s like there is a connection that can never be severed
even though we are apart now i still see you clearly in my head
through all the happiness that we shared together, as well as the tougher times
i lived through them with no regret
they made me whole, made me who i am
there is no perfect person in this world, and as much as i would like to look pass your flaws
i know i’d be lying to myself if i choose to ignore them
i’m constantly fighting with myself, over the things i love about you and the things that put me off
there is still time ahead of us, and i’m looking forward to see how it’ll all turn out to be
