India’s First All India Institute of Ayurveda Launched On 2nd Ayurveda Day

It is Dhanvantari Jayanti and 2nd Ayurveda Day (Ayurveda Divas). The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, could not give a better gift to the nation on this occasion. It is the launch of India’s first All India Institute of Ayurveda. The credit goes to the Ministry of AYUSH for the constitution of this large-scale Ayurveda Institute. Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) came into existence in 2014 for the development and growth of these five ancient powerful alternative medicine and health practices. The Prime Minister rightly says that no nation can progress if it forgets the value of their history and heritage. It is important for us to value and cherish our history and heritage proudly and significantly to imbibe it in our day-to-day life. While these practices have no side effects like Allopathic medicines, these are helpful in maintaining health naturally.

Who would not love to adopt some valuable and simple practices in life that help in leading health in a natural way. Yoga and Naturopathy is primarily helpful in having a healthy body and mind creating resistence for normal body ailments. This, in turn, helps in keeping a strong body, mind, and lifestyle thus spreading happiness in life and family. All India Institute of Ayurveda comes into existence with this purpose and a lot more. The overall purpose is to gain advantage from our legendary wisdom and heritage. Because, as the Prime Minister asserts that the countries leaving their heritage behind do not progress well and gradually lose their identity. In fact, India should not forget its rich traditions like Yoga and Ayurveda which lost their identity during British rule on India. Rather, a lot of efforts were put in force to diminish Indian’s faith in those.

All India Institute of Ayurveda Is A Symbol of Indian Heritage and Values

All India Institute of Ayurveda is, in another words, is a great effort to revive our values, heritage, and traditions. This is one of the excellent task this government has been doing since last three years by trying to restore a strong belief mechanism in best of our heritage. And, in fact, the things are changing fast. The prife in our heritage is reviving back in various ways and through different means. There was a huge gathering of people for Ayurveda Day or Yoga Day. As a matter of fact, Ayurveda is much beyond merely a medical practice, as our Prime Minister emphasizes. It is the best way to maintain health not only of public but the whole environment around. That is one of the reasons government putting efforts in integrating all the systems of AYUSH in mainstream public healthcare mechanism.

Government plans to deploy an Ayurvedic hospital in every district of India. Keeping that mission in mind, there are already more than 65 AYUSH hospitals in place during the last three years. All India Institute of Ayurveda is another big leap in this direction. The location of this institute is Mathura Road, Gautampuri, Sarita Vihar, New Delhi, Delhi 110076.
