International Police Expo by Foundation for Police Research

3rd International Police Expo and Conference along with Homeland Security Expo 2017 was an eye opener event. Looking at the advancements in technology and its applicabilities and various approaches create a lot of confidence in the development. Foundation for Police Research in association with Nexgen Exhibitions are the organizers of this event. There were exhibitors from international companies for public security, safety, surveillance, cybersecurity, training, internal security, UAV etc.

In fact, International Police Expo is a right platform to demonstrate the latest and modern technology and product for the civil and armed forces. A number of companies from India, USA, UAE, Israel, Denmark were there to showcase their modern technology and products. In addition, Police Excellence Awards in various categories were also part of the agenda. These awards are an endeavor to recognize the meaningful contributions of the cops for infrastructure safety. Internal Security a major challenge, despite border conflicts was the theme of the expo and conference this year. Special products by international companies were on display for Helicopter, Speed Gun, Traffic Solutions, Forensic Technologies, Non-lethal arms, Small arms, and Communication technologies.

International Police Expo provides a chance to participate, witness, and identify the technology and products in this field. Dr. Tapan Charoborty, Convener of Conference and Executive Director, Foundation for Police Research steered the conference with insightful opening remarks. In fact, there were nine categories for the award covering almost all the areas in security and safety of the country. The award for Community Policing Initiative goes to Kerala Police. Similarly, the award for Use of Modern Technology for facilitating public service goes to Rahul Srivastava, DSP, UP Police. In addition, Traffic Management Award goes to Chandigarh DSP Traffic, Yash Pal. As a matter of fact, there were many other awards for police departments and armed forces for their exemplary initiatives.

Overall, the enthusiasm was at its peak at the International Police Expo at Pragati Maidan. Exhibitors were there with a lot of innovative products.
