Joshua 1:9

This has been on my heart lately to commit bible verses to memory. If I just read the bible, I will not remember them and be able to recall them when necessary. I am going to write a verse every Sunday that I want to memorize for the following week.
The first verse that I am going to memorize is Joshua 1:9. I chose this verse for a variety of reasons. The biggest reason is because it is my husband's favorite verse.
Some background information on this verse. Moses died, and the Lord spoke to Joshua to lead the people to the land that was promised to them. God is telling Joshua that he will be with him the whole time, and not fail or forsake him. (1:5) God also reminds Joshua to mediate on the word day and night.(1:8)
Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed; for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. KJV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. NIV
I command you-Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. NLT
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you where you go. NASB
Questions:
What verse(s) would you like to see next?
How does this verse relate to your life?
