Posted on the 20 August 2013 by Genzelkisses

How are you guys?  I hope the storm will be gone soon.  It’s so heartbreaking to see places spiflicated with floods and knowing how many people are being affected by this.  Please be extra careful during these days of calamity.

By the way, majority of you wanted me to review this Etude House CC Cream from my July Collective Haul post, and because you are all special to me, I spent my time road testing this product last week to be able to deliver a reliable review.  I even slept with this on my face to see if my skin will be irritated or anything. ^_^  Yes, talk about dedication? *laughs*

It comes in two variants:

#1 Silky : Neatly adhering to give silky soft finish

What is a CC Cream?

This is a common question that pops up to your mind in case it’s your first time to hear about CC Cream.  I was even like, “Okay so we have now BB Cream, then here we go with CC Cream, what’s next? DD Cream?” *laughs*  That’s my first honest thought that time.

It contains Rock Rose (Cistaceae) extract that supplies polyphenols for powerful antioxidant & anti-inflammatory care.  Which gives natural tone correcting effect.  It looks as if it is white but color changes to pink beige when it is applied.

See those grainy stuff in there?  That’s what they call magic capsules that’s why it’s advised to use our fingers.  Why?  The heat from our fingers and the firmness of application helps in spreading it evenly.

Directions or How to Use?

Please watch the demo below courtesy of Ms. Bianca Valerio (one of my ultimate favorite makeup-artists) during the Etude House Princess Academy event.  I recorded it for you guys ^_^

Instead of using it on the forehead, chin, cheeks, and nose, I opt to use it on my entire face to see how it looks like.

The results :)

For this look, I use the Etude House CC Cream in Silky, then I applied a minimal amount of BB Cream (optional).  Dust my face with loose powder, pop some blush, define my brows, and light pink lipstick.  These photos were not edited except for their sizes so you can clearly see how it looks like.  These are taken under daylight.

Now for the verdict, I won’t go over with the pros and cons as everything has been stated above already.  Let’s go with the other information that you might want to know.

Difference of BB Cream and CC Cream?

BB Cream (Blemish Balm) was introduced in the market to cover healing skin during treatment, but now is evolved to be used wildly to cover blemish as part of makeup.

CC Cream defined differently by each cosmetic brands, but it is developed to
strengthen Skin Care function of BB Cream while lowering covering power to express Transparent (Natural) Skin Tone which BB Cream cannot give.

Fashion has been keep changing from watery glow to shiny glow to natural     skin tone.  CC cream will not give any artificial color, and can provide skin care effects at the same time.

BB Cream is used by people who want more coverage and handy use.
CC Cream has lesser coverage but can give natural color tone of skin to give more healthier look with other skin care effect.

TIP/s and RECOMMENDATION

☑  For natural look, you can use this alone.

☑  For perfect coverage, use CC Cream + Makeup Base +  BB Cream or Concealer.  It all depends on your preferred result that you want to achieve.

☑  Use your clean fingers for CC Cream application

REPURCHASE?

This product was given to me for review but rest assured that my opinion and this post is 100% unbiased.

I would purchase a new tube when I finished this.  I’m planning to make it an alternative for my makeup base. :)

OVERALL

For a person like me who prioritize skincare over makeup, I give this a perfect score.  As you can see on the results I have, I’m very happy with this product.  It has a nice scent, like a very mild makeup.  Maybe for some, the concern will be its price.
