I got a sample tub of Laneige Water Sleeping Pack from Sample Room a few months back and I'm super glad I was able to try this product. The sample size contained 20ml while the full size in the market is 80ml so I had enough product to try out to see if it really works.I have no idea what Snow Water Science means.
The Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is Laneige's bestselling skincare product. It said to sell one tub every 30 seconds.
I first saw this on one of bubzbeauty's vids.
So what is it? "Light gel-type sleeping pack that provides intensive hydration, vitality, and brightening effect while enhancing sleep with the patented Sleepscent."from Sample Room
Layering Skin Care ProductsI watched a lot of videos as well as read a lot of blog articles about layering skin care products. If you've seen the ones made by Michelle Phan and Bubzbeauty, you'd be instantly convinced with the benefits. As for me, I'm still 50-50 about it. I'm half convinced that you need all those products for your skin, but at the same time, worried about the effects of using so much products.Lately, the scale was tipped towards layering so I'm using 5 products every night, excluding cleanser, toner, and make-up remover. None of these products are whitening. I decided to forgo whitening because it doesn't really matter that much to me as much as moisturizing, acne control and anti-ageing do. Please correct me if you think it's overkill.Twice a week, Laneige Water Sleeping Pack is the 6th product I use.
SleepscentLaneige Water Sleeping Pack is supposed to help you sleep. It did not give me fairy dreams. But I do admit that the smell is a bit relaxing. The results aren't as great as claimed, but it's a nice little addition. Girls who are very sensitive to smell should take this into consideration.
Texture and consistencyIt's a light, non-sticky gel that I neither find too heavy nor too rich. It's the right kind of texture for all skin types. While you expect it to be a little thick because it's supposed to be a sleeping pack, it gets absorbed a little while after application.
The first time I tried this, I became an instant fan! My skin looked more hydrated, soft and supple. I looked less stressed. After using this for a few weeks, my skin seemed more happy. I can go out without foundation. It did not break me out. Neither am I allergic to it.
Price:Once again, the price is an issue for me. P1250 for the full 80ml bottle is too expensive and results-wise, my favorite night-time moisturizer, Olay Age Protect Anti-ageing Cream doesn't fall that far behind and it's probably about 1/10 of Laneige's price (very very rough estimate).
Likes:light gel-like consistencysoothing smellhydrating, moisturizing, absolutely love how it works on my skinno allergies, no breakouts
Dislike:expensive
Rating:4.5/5It works but I think it should be cheaper
Recommend? For those who can afford it - yes
Repurchase? No - doesn't fit my budget and I don't need it that much:(But I might in the near futureOr in an alternate universe where I'm not broke.
Have you tried this product? Can you recommend a good night-time moisturizer?
