Posted on the 23 July 2013 by Jasminebhatia @jas_mine7
Hello People,
Today I am going to share about my shopping experience with Limeroad.com and a super delayed Haul post!!
About the Website: Limeroad.com is a company created to bring you products you will fall in love with, at present Limeroad has over 175 unique brands to offer!!
Scrapbook: As many of you would know by now, that LR has this very interesting Scrapbook activity for its budding shoppers, basically scrapbook is your personal space to collect things you love from the website and create looks to shop and share with friends.
Initially when I checked out the website, I found it pretty nice for its variety and the fun app called Scrapbook, I created a lot of looks a couple of months ago and was rewarded with 2500 LR points which I could use with a minimum purchase of Rs 1000.
So, Last month on 4th June I placed my order with them, I went a little overboard, and ordered for 6 things. I received an order confirmation email from them right after I placed the order and regularly got updates about the shipment of my parcel (However, there is no real time parcel tracking). The order came in installments since they have different vendors. I received everything within a week’s time though. However, one of the ordered products came in a different color from what I had ordered, I called them and the same product was picked up the very next day for return.
Here’s a look at what I ordered..
Multi colored Casual Top by Aamod – Rs 399
Beige and Brown Bedsheet Set by Aqua Marine – Rs 1449 (price has been hiked now)
Gold Table Runner by Profile – Rs 1050
Fern Leaf Wall Hanging by Malhar – Rs 750 + 750 (I purchased 2 of these)
BurgandyTable Linen Set by Profile – Rs 929 (price has been hiked now) Surprisingly the description on the box said Color: burgundy, I mean couldn't the packaging team check it while preparing my order…??
Now begins my real experience, All the things that I ordered were fine and of decent quality and I was satisfied with the service too, until I had to go through the return and exchange process. First, the return parcel didn't reached the warehouse till one week, After endless calls and emails the Customer care people told me that the courier person had delivered the product at a wrong warehouse and now the product will be shipped again from the wrong warehouse to the correct destination and once the warehouse OK’s it from the quality check, a new product in the color (burgundy) I had ordered will be parceled to me. I kept on waiting and another week passed, I called them a few times in-between but the attitude of the CCAs totally pissed me off and when nothing seemed to work I had to put a public message on LR’s facebook page about my concern. It was only after I made it public I received a call from one of their customer care associates, the lady told me that the vendor did not have the product in the color I had ordered and I would get a refund for the same by the vendor’s side. The refund was done after a long wait of over 10 days but I am happy that at least my money got refunded.
All in all, I would say Limeroad is a good shopping website. However, if unfortunately you have to exchange or return a product then be prepared for a long battle!!
My Rating:Website: 4/5 Delivery: 3.5/5Customer Service: 2/5
