May Books

Posted on the 27 May 2012 by Lifeofasportswife @jessaolson
Going into May I thought I wouldn't read as many books as I have, but these were amazing books and I couldn't put the book down. I also didn't think that I would be this late writing my May review either. Rest assured, next month I will be much more timely.
The books I read in May: Soul Detox by Craig Groeschel, The Radical Leap Re-Energized by Steve Farber, Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker,The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and For the Love of Our Husbands by Darby Duggar.
Soul Detox was a great book. I highly recommend all of Pastor Craig's books. Every book has at least 1 thing that I needed to hear at that give time. He words everything in such a way that everyone can understand.
If you take anything away from this book let it be. The thing we fear the most is the thing we trust God with the least and we value the most.
Radical Leap Re-Energized is also a great book for leadership. The only thing that I didn't like and I should have done my research before purchasing was I already had Radical Leap. This books takes 2 books and combines them. He took Radical LEAP and Radical EDGE and make this book. This book is such an easy read, and learned some much about leadership.
Steve Farber has been named as the go-to person for leadership. He describes leadership in a way that everyone can understand and apply to their life. Everyone is a leader in some capacity, and will learn something from this book.
Check out the book review "For the love of Our Husbands" here.
Fifty Shades of Grey is an amazing book. (I got all three of the books. The series is a trilogy.) I wasn't sure about the book in the beginning, but I am so glad I did. It is probably my all time favorite book. If you haven't read it you should! I'm working on the second book right now. When I try to explain the book to people who haven't heard of the book I don't know where to start or even how to explain the book. I would say it would fall into a romance book.
Christian Grey meets Ana Steele while she is interviewing him for her college paper. After that meeting he shows up in places she works, etc. They start dating and he shows her to a new world. Ana also show Grey to a world he was not expected to enter. This book (trilogy) is probably in my top 10 of reading books. I can't say it enough, but I highly recommend this book to everyone.
The Hunger Games was a book I swore I would never read. It didn't seem like a book I would get into, but I was completely wrong. Gary got me the book after reading a previous post. I finished it the first night, and excited to start the next book.
The bottom 2 books I don't want to give too much away in case people are reading it. I always hate when people tell me the ending to books or movies.
Questions
1.  What is your favorite book?
2.  What book should I read next?
