So I'm sure you guys can relate with my addiction with this Maybelline's Lipstick collection, The Creamy Mattes. I've seen that this collection has been released to other countries prior here in the Philippines. Some colors are not yet available here as well. I don't have all the shades (10 shades available) as of the moment but I will have the complete colors soon, so stay tuned with the update on this post. For now, let's talk about the 5 Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks that I have and been loving since.
Maybelline Creamy Matte by Color Sensational Lipsticks - P299.00 each
The creamiest mattes that stay on for hours. The Creamy Mattes by Color Sensational deliver a burst of bold color and a surge of creamy texture for the creamiest mattes in 10 mesmerizing shades. - Maybelline.com.ph Website
Packaging Maybelline Color Sensational lipstick line is very consistent with their packaging. They just differ on the cap. Since this line is "creamy mattes", the cap is still plastic but matte. The Rebel Bouquet collection is neon orange, is red cap, and so on. The tube itself is in silver metallic. Name and shade codes are at the bottom.

According to favorites from Right (most fave) to Left (least fave)
Creamy Matte - exactly how it is labeled. It's matte but easily glides on the lips. It doesn't pronounce dry patches but of course, it's always better to exfoliate your lips prior to any lipstick application. Using a lip balm will help too. When applied, it looks so pretty on the lips, personal and in photographs.
Pigmentation Is it pigmented as it is on the tube. Very opaque once applied. One layer is enough but if you want it bolder, add about 1-2 more swipes on the entire lips. As you can see on the photo above, the colors leave stain on the skin (I used makeup remover wipes), it's the same thing with your lips. Forgot to bring the tube for retouch? No worries, even if you eat oily food, your lips will look stained, like that when you use a lip tint.
LongevityWithout eating / drinking, it lasts the whole day. It may fade a little because of me being talkative but the color is still there. You can retouch anytime. However, there are times when my lips get dry in the middle of the day, which is normal with my lips that's why lip balm and scrub are my pucker's best friends. If this happens here's a TIP: Grab a sheet of wet wipes/tissue and use it to scrub and get rid of dry skin. Then apply lip balm, let it set for a while before you reapply your lipstick.

when worn
It changes depending on skin tone and under tone. If you're medium or similar to mine, it looks pinkish mauve. To my friends who have fair skin, it looks maroon-ish.

Vibrant Violet

Again, shades appear depending on skintone of the person who wears it.

Maybelline Vibrant Violet is said to be dupe for MAC Heroine.
So close! Actually in person, you'll have a hard time to determine which is which.
My third fave, Divine Wine.

So in love with this shade. It's the kind of red that's appealing to wear even in broad daylight. I think it'll look good for office makeup look too! It makes me feel sexy yet elegant.

Maybelline Divine Wine, dupe for MAC Diva. Again, Divine Wine and Diva look so alike in person rather than in photos. I'm planning to buy MAC Diva before but since Divine Wine is love, I'll cross it out in my to-buy list.
Mesmerizing Magenta
when worn
I'm moving away from bright pinks for day makeup, but this one is another exception. It looks flattering even if you wear it at daytime. It's bright but not too much like a neon pink shade, it's more tamed than that. I like how it brightens my teeth and complexion too!

For Maybelline Mesmerizing Magenta (I read it's magnetic magenta in some posts), it's a dupe for MAC Flat Out Fabulous. I've tried this shade and I can say both shades look the same in person.

Price It's my least favorite shade that I have from the collection because orange-red colors make me look yellow, as in! including my teeth. However, if you have fair skin, this will look great on you!
Maybelline Siren in Scarlet is so close both in person and photos to MAC Russian Red. I know a lot of people love this shade from MAC and you must be rejoicing for this dupe that's 1/3 of the price of a MAC bullet.
It's 299.00 per tube with a quality of a high-end lipstick. Sometimes if you're lucky, you can take advantage of their sale where each will only cost P199.00 / lipstick! Eck! I'm so waiting for the next sale to buy the other shades. I'm so wanna get my hands on Ravishing Rose!
Overall, I can understand all the hype with these lipsticks. Astm, you can't find any Touch of Spice shade. I've been to 5 malls and still TOS is out of stock. If you know where I can get one please message me! 😀 P299.00 for a creamy matte, pigmented, long lasting, non-drying lipstick? Hands down to this collection Maybelline. If I am to find any con to these lipsticks, they stain my teeth sometimes and transfers. The tip is: blot with tissue.
