Accessories complete a whole ensemble. However, it can be tricky at times thinking what jewelry pieces to wear and mix & match with our outfit. If there’s one jewelry I can’t live without, that would be a nice pair of earrings. For me it completes my look / FOTD (face of the day). Next would be a wristwatch. I have a few in my collection that I match with clothes I’m wearing. I also have a go to watch for errands and normal days.
In layering accessories, you need to consider the colors and sizes. They must be well-coordinated with everything you’re wearing. Morellato, the largest watch and jewelry brand in Italy, now in the Philippines, will help us with this dilemma through fashion and styling workshops, introducing the Morellato Style Series.
Morellato will conduct programs with lecture from the experts, styling, and discussions to help fashionistas and fashion/styling enthusiasts to match Morellato jewelries with specific styles of clothes.
For the first leg, the workshop was held at Morellato store in SM Makati.

For this workshop, we had Jenni Epperson, a premier stylist and award-winning lifestyle blogger, who talked about how we can properly mix and match Morellato pieces with different outfits.
For white tops, we have all the freedom to layer our accessories. We can wear a long necklaces, mixed with 2-3 shorter ones. Then for formal wear (office attire), an elegant necklace, matched with a watch and a bracelet will look great. If you’re wearing a plain dress (eg. the black dress in the photo above), you can go for long necklace, watch or a bracelet.
What’s really in these days is Rose Gold. I’m in love with anything rose gold! It looks good on any skin color and will never go out of style. You can mix it with your gold and silver accessories too!
We had a styling contest too! We were divided into 2 groups. Our group name was “Bohemian Rockstars” and our model, the pretty and talented Mica Javier. She’s wearing a bohemian kind of outfit that day and here’s Phylicia of Phyliciamarie.com, who’s very hands-on to this! Thank you Phya! We won! Woohoo!
