Nichido Minerals Spot Concealer in Natural Review

This is a quick review as I don't have much to say about this product.

I'm glad the Nichido counter where I got this product had testers so I was able to swatch the product . Most counters I tried don't. As I am unfamiliar with spot concealers, I tried to consult the SA for the shade. She immediately recommended beige, saying that it really does the job of covering my pimple marks. She applied it directly on some pimple marks on my cheek and the shade that she boasted of did not cover it at all but I was expecting that. I picked a shade that I thought would suit my skin tone: natural. When I tested it, it did the job.
Nichido Minerals Spot Concealer in Natural ReviewI wonder why beige, which is more yellowish than natural, did not work for me while this one did.

I forgot to take a picture but the product claims that it is water resistant.
note:Water resistant is not equivalent to water-proof. Water resistant products is less immune to water compared to water products. This product feels like it has a good hold on the skin, which is great when you sweat a lot. But it won't stay put when you are swimming.

Now let's talk about coverage. But before that let me show you some pictures of how this product works.

Frankly speaking, it does not work all the time. In the first place, if you picked the wrong shade, like I almost did had I gotten beige, it would be totally useless. The shade I got hardly covers up pimple marks that are already brown or gray. But it is somewhat effective in covering up those that are still reddish. It is those that I am conscious with the most so I could say that this product met my need in that aspect. It's the red ugly pimple scars that I dislike the most, the other ones, I barely mind.
When you apply it, make sure that the edges are blended well. This product does not adjust to your skin tone and if the transition from the parts of your skin where you applied this product and the clean skin is really obvious, then it'll be horribly obvious too that you are wearing a spot concealer..
In summary, this is not a very good spot concealer. It hardly works. The product itself smells like pencil. There is very limited shades to choose from. But it is a life-saver for me whenever I have fresh reddish ugly pimple scars.
I've been using this for:
2 months
Over-all rating:2.5/5
Recommend?No
Repurchase?Hmm.. still thinking about it. I'll tell you why in a bit.
Further thoughts:
Actually I did not get this because I wanted a spot concealer. I got this because MaricarlJanah used this on her waterline on one of her videos. Ever since then, I've been wanting to do the same thing. It makes sense too as it's water resistant. So these days, if ever I do get to use this, I mostly use this on my waterline. It really opens my eyes and stays for a few hours. White eyeliner usually does the trick but I find white eyeliner to be a little too much. It sometimes doesn't look natural. A flesh colored liner does the job better for me. I don't know any good flesh eyeliner in the local market so this is a good alternative.
Warning!
Thanks to Rae's comment, I realized I had to add this information. Just because this worked for me as an eyeliner, it doesn't mean that I recommend that you buy this product for that purpose. The main purpose for this product is as spot concealer. It wasn't formulated for the waterline, hence there is a huge chance that you might be allergic to it.
That's it!
