About a month back, I recieved an invitation from the guys behind Blogs and PR about meeting up with some Perth based bloggers and doing what we do best. Talking about blogging. Brilliant. I love going to meet ups. I get to meet new people that I do not normally meet. I also do it because it forces me to go outside my comfort zone. I tend to get very reserve when I meet new people. Meet ups like this forces me to be a little out there.
Was I nervous? Not as much as the first time. I have met a few of the bloggers before like Parental Parody, The Bumpiest Path, Silly Mummy and host extraordinaire Little Bento Blog. I was excited to meet new people in the bloggersphere. New people means new blogs to read and most of the time I can relate because, these bloggers are in Perth.
So yesterday, I went, I talked, met new bloggers, caught up with the old ones, talked a little bit more and went home. It was such a lovely way to spend the afternoon child free. I didn't get to meet everyone though, which happens a lot at meet ups like these. Hopefully I will get to meet them again. :)
As with events like these, there were gift bags handed out. I think by far, this was the best gift bag I have ever gotten. Like WOW. Blogs and PR outdid themselves with this and of course the generousity of the sponsors as well. Here is what we got in our gift bags:-
