So how did Katy get involved?
Shortly after joining the popchips family as an investor and creative partner, Katy Perry expressed her desire to create a signature popchips flavor. Like everything Katy Perry does, she wanted to have her signature stamp on it and create a unique flavor that captured both her passion for popcorn and craving for the classic sweet & salty flavor of kettle corn. The result is Katy’s kettle corn, a naturally delicious popped corn chip with just the right balance of sweet & salty. and with less than half the fat of fried crisps, fewer calories and none of the fake colours or flavours that give snacking a bad name, they are as irresistible as Katy’s #1 hits.“Creating my signature popchips flavor was so much fun!” said katy perry. “When I realised popchips hadn’t ventured into sweet territory, I knew I had to do my very own take on one of my favourites, sweet and salty flavoured popcorn. After a series of intensive taste tests, i’m excited to introduce Katy’s kettle corn to UK fans so they can enjoy my dream snack!”
“When Katy Perry became the new face of popchips we were thrilled, when she told us she wanted to create her own flavour, we couldn’t wait to get started,” said Keith Belling, founder and chief executive officer of popchips. “Katy Perry and popchips fans in the UK are amazing, and we’re excited to bring them Katy’s signature flavour, katy’s kettle corn!”
The taste test
The whole family got involved in the taste test - we are big popchips fans so they certainly didn't need to be asked twice. The flavor is just as Katy wanted, sweet and salty and reminds me of popcorn. The new flavor was a hit with all the family and we found it deliciously moorish yet light. The lightness factor is one of the reasons I like popchips so much, the are delicious, yet healthy with half the fat of fried crisps, not baked but popped which means they make a perfect snack for all the family. All that's left to be said is - I tasted Katy's kettle corn popchips and I liked it.Availability
