Psalm 23

This week I decided to go back to the beginning of my faith. When I was younger, I remember going to church but I never had a relationship with God. The first bible verse that I memorized was Psalm 23: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."
I never really thought about this verse until about 2 years ago. G went to a men's bible study and they were talking about verses they didn't understand at first and verses to hang their hat on. One of the men mentioned Psalm 23, and that it was a verse they had to read over and over, and circumstances in his life had to take place for him to really understand this verse.
After that I took some time to really think about this verse. The Lord is my shepherd. We are all sheep, and Jesus and God are our shepherds. The lead us in the direction that they want us to go. I shall not want is a great verse to think about because my wants are not my wants they are God's wants.
This weeks verse is Psalms 23:1.
KJV: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
NIV: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
NLT: The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.
NASB: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
Questions:
1. What does this verse mean to you?
2. What verse do you want to memorize?
