PV Sindhu, born on July 5, 1995, is just 21. Her full name is Pursala Venkata Sindhu. She has become a professional badminton player of international fame. She became the first Indian woman to grab an Olympic silver medal early this year at the Summer Olympics 2016. In fact, PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal are the only two Indian shuttlers to ever win an Olympic medal at Rio. As a matter of fact, she got a place in top 20 BWF World Ranking in September 2012. At that time she was just 17 to acquire international focus. Then, the very next year, in 2013, she was the first ever Indian women’s badminton singles player winning a medal at the Badminton World Championship. And there was no stoppage. In 2015, she was the youngest player to get Padma Shri.
