Aside from pink, I also love gold! Cosmetics in gold packaging look sophisticated and so pretty as display on a vanity table. I had one like this before from my boyfriend’s mom. The packaging doesn’t fade, just the edges.
The lipstick shade itself is very interesting. It’s like the lipstick used by the princesses in the galaxy. The gold shimmers remind me of the stars and the smokey effect is like those of the red planet. It’s not the true red tho, more of an orange-red for me.
When swatched, instead of red, it’s pinkish with blue undertone and the gold specks are quite noticeable on the swatches. The color is somehow buildable but you cannot make it as opaque as you want it to be. It’s sheer like a lip gloss.
Here on my lips, I did around 3-4 swipes. Still very sheer but I like how my lips look healthy. I love matte lipsticks but for everyday use, or whenever I will just run errands like going to the grocery, work out in the gym, I like my lips to look naturally pink. I think, this product is made this way, just the sheer type. However, I can achieve that on tinted lip balms right?
Overall, I will keep this lipstick for the packaging, but no matter how I love sheer lippies, I find this too expensive for that purpose. I have another lipstick in Color Riche line from L’Oreal which is on the matte and opaque side which I will review soon.
