When I first got a bottle of Vaseline Aloe Fresh, I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do now. There's so many aloe vera-based products out there and this one didn't particularly stood out. Let me point out too that in this humid, tropical country I live in, there are probably only three reasons why people would bother using lotion.
1) For whitening2) For sun-protection3) For the scent
1) and 2) are usually rolled into one. Marketing-wise, I thought Vaseline was making a wrong move with their total moisture range. People here generally don't care about moisturizing products that do not have whitening properties. I'm not big on whitening myself, but I definitely want to get sun protection. But since I liked Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow a lot, I had high hopes for this.\Vaseline Total Moisture Aloe Fresh
from their website:Vaseline® Total Moisture® Aloe Fresh lotion leaves your skin feeling light and fresh. Our light feel formula combines pure aloe and Stratys-3TM multi-layer moisture absorbing quickly, infusing moisture at the top, core and deep down layers*, leaving skin hydrated.
*stratum corneum (multi-layer surface skin).
Packaging-wise, it looks fresh and friendly being green and all. I like the color. :)
Vaseline Aloe Fresh is your typical white lotion.
Smell and Texture:It smells like aloe-vera. The smell is very mild and fades an hour or so after application. The texture isn't runny nor is it too thick. The skin instantly absorbs it and it doesn't feel greasy at all.
the claim:24 hr nourishing lotion for fresh and light feeling.
I find this claim true for me. And that is why I love this product. It leaves my skin feeling really smooth and firm. I absolutely love that it feels well-hydrated without being heavy and sticky.
I think this is the perfect moisturizing lotion if you are living in a tropical country and I definitely recommend it.
For people who live in drier climates though, this might not be moisturizing enough. Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow might be a better option for you.
And...... I don't have anything more to say. That's why I call this a quick review. But I like this lotion so much, I might as well share it with you guys.
I just with this has a version with UVA/UVB protection so I can also wear it outside.
But other than that, I have no other complains.
This is currently my favorite indoor lotion.
What's your current favorite lotion? Care to share?
