A close look...
We are on the Roman Road, London E3 where I came across this bog standard pair of bollards with a slight twist/difference.
The design of bollard is made of cast iron and they can take one hell of a whack before they fracture/break. What is odd and must add to the expense is the indentations that allow the small road traffic signs to placed flush upon the body of the bollard.
With the London Olympic games just around the corner from these two sturdy looking bollards I'm sure the east of London and its Olympic venues will have plenty of bollards on offer waiting to be photographed be me and who knows maybe you.
