Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

Posted on the 13 February 2016 by Genzelkisses

For sure you've heard or even tried Rucy's Vanity products already. I actually hit pan just recently of their two way cake and just realized I haven't posted my review yet! Oh busy bee! My best friend Kim, was the one who introduced me to this brand, even before they become known and hit social media. I think she bought the lip an cheek tints in Star Mall Shaw.

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

Korean products are know for their fancy packaging. However, Rucy's Vanity packaging is on the minimalist side which I think is good for those on the matured consumers who are not fan of princessy tubes and compacts.

Here's my collective review of some of their products that I've tried. NOT sorted into favorites.

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

Rucy's Vanity Two Way Cake 35 PA++ 12g - P250.00

It's a combination of foundation and pressed powder that doesn't only provides coverage but also sun protection. It comes in two shades, #21 and #23 respectively, what I have is the latter. It doesn't cake nor clog pores plus it looks so natural on the face. I like to use this for everyday, go-to powder whenever I need not wear full or heavy makeup.

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

It comes with a sponge applicator which I rarely use. It's good for touch ups tho but I prefer powder brush when I'm at home doing my makeup then the sponge for retouches. I love the separate container for the sponge to avoid contaminating the product and maintaining good hygiene. #23 shade is perfect for me. It hope they'll add more shades soon.

Rucy's Vanity Lip & Cheek Red 8ml - P80.00

This is the first ever product that I've used from Rucy's Vanity. My friend gave it to me as Christmas present two years ago. It's so pigmented that little amount goes a long way. I find it a bit sticky for my liking on my cheeks thou but as a lip tint, it's perfect!

Here's a dot and a fade-away swatch. My niece thought I cut myself when she saw the photo. lol

Tip: Blend well before it gets dry or else you'll end up like a clown or with patches.

Rucy's Vanity Whitening Color Control (CC Cream) 30ml - P320.00

Whenever I don't feel like wearing any makeup on, I apply this then I'm good to go. It has UV protection so no need for a separate sunblock. It's very gently on the skin, light-weight, and moisturizing. You can also use it as primer or makeup base! It does whiten your skin too!

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

It looks white but adapts to your skin color when blended. I suggest using your clean fingers for application. The natural heat of your fingers helps blend well for cream products. Avoid flash photography if you're wearing this as it might show white cast on the photo and for sure you don't like that.

Now moving on to their skin care...

Rucy's Vanity Women Whitening Serum 60ml - P210.00

This is one of the lightest serum I've ever tried. It's recommended for day and night use, however, for serums, I prefer to use them at night as no matter how light it is, I think whenever I pack a lot of products to my face during day time, I get oilier than usual so I use this only at night after moisturizer.

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

It contains Vitamin E and collagen for brighter and moisturized skin. Safe to use even those who have sensitive skin and suited for all skin types. Two pumps are enough to slather to the entire face and neck.

Essential Mask - P35.00 each

You know how much I love masks. It's a religious routine for me during weekends and whenever I feel my skin is dull than usual and needs more pampering treat. The good news? The price! The cheapest I know before I discovered this is P55.00 pesos, but then this one is P35.00 per sheet!

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

Fits my face perfectly. Use the excess essence on your neck, nape, and hands.

It comes in different variants:

  • Cucumber (Best for Normal/ Dry Skin)
  • Green Tea (Best for Oily Skin)
  • Lemon (Best for Acne Prone Skin)
  • Pomegrante (Best for Matured Skin/ Anti-aging)
  • Aloe (Best for Dry Skin)
  • Herb (Best for Normal Skin)
  • Coenzyme Q10 (Best for Sensitive Skin)

Thankful they sent me the anti-aging one because I gotta love anything anti-aging! Haha. Seriously, I'm really into anti-aging and skin elasticity improvement since I'm not getting any younger.

Rucy’s Vanity Collective Review

Wearing Rucy's Vanity products mentioned above. This was taken last year hence my black hair. I forgot to mention, the lip and cheek tint doesn't settle on my crack lips, no dryness, and looks so natural on my cheeks too as you can see on the photo.

Rucy's Vanity is a nice brand and perfect for those who are on a budget and loves korean skincare and makeup. Their products are affordable and I also recommend them for students.
