Alright I am seven days in on #blogtober14. It hasn't gone according to plan but I have still blogged everyday. Today is all about my best and worst vacation. I love to travel, and luckily we have moved around lately because of my husbands job in minor league baseball. In each city we have lived in we try to make the most out of it. We never know how long we will be in one place so I don't want to have any regrets.
Since living in Charleston, we have took trips to: Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Mahoning Valley, Durham, Detroit, Salem (VA), and Lynchburg. In OKC we traveled to surrounding areas. In Phoenix we went to Vegas and Tucson. We didn't get to do as much travel as we would have like, but I'm hoping to go back.
My best vacation was in Phoenix. We went up to Vegas for a quick trip. We were literally in the car longer than we were in Vegas, but it was great to go. I had never been to Vegas, and the only time had gone was for baseball winter meetings. One of things that I had been dying to do was the gondola ride. That was the first thing we did when we got there.
Afterwards we went inside the hotel, and found a place where I found get a pearl out of a oyster. If you know me, you know how much I love pearls. I wear them everyday, and even have a pearl engagement rings. I had so much fun seeing Vegas in that short amount time.
Also anytime trip can't be complete unless we go to a baseball game. We saw the Vegas 51s play Tacoma Rainiers. I was also "Fan of the Game" because I asked the question: "Why should be Fan of the Game?" The winning answer: Because I drove from Phoenix to come to THIS game. Not really. I was in Vegas, and half way there we checked their schedule.
