Second-hand Sale in Mangkutana

Posted on the 19 January 2013 by Arwinkim
A couple week ago, I and my mother went to Mangkutana, a business-centered district East Luwu Regency. The trip was so tiring because it is really far from our home village. We aboarded a car and sat in the front line next to the driver. I enjoyed the trip though that the scenary along the road was awesome, especially in Sampoddo, Palopo. I almost could touch the cloud, you can imagine how high the place was.
Actually, it was the first time I went to Mangkutana. I told my mother that I didn't want to go but she already made deal with the driver. We stayed in my cousin's house where my brother stayed too. After three days, my mother returned earlier than me because my cousin wanted me to stay longer. Everything was paid off, fortunately my cousin had Wi-fi in his house so I could get connected to internet, and the good thing was his internet speed was quite fast in term of downloading and playing videos on Youtube.
Sunday is local market time in Mangkutana. On the day, the market will be crowded by locals to trade many daily needs like food and clothes. As new visitor like me, it was good chance for me to shop second-hand clothes there as many people do because the second-hand clothes here are really cheap, unlike in Makassar and Bone.
I love buying second-hand clothes because they are shipped from Korea and Japan. I bought long armed clothes, one pants and one cargo pants. My younger brother wanted the long pants, but I didn't want to give him. He insisted to buy it for Rp.50k. LOL.
