I normally don't write about my professional life in this blog for many reasons, but lately I have felt more compelled to write. I work for the Phoenix Coyotes as a Group Sales Account Executive, and lately work as been more stressful. I'm not sure how many of my readers are sports fans especially hockey fans. The team has been without an owner for about 4 years. The team went into bankruptcy, and the NHL has owned the team since then. They had gone through potential owners, but this past week the city council approved the vote. Now we have to wait for the ownership group to buy the team from the NHL.

I'm really excited about it because it secures that I will be employed for the future. I'm relieved about that because for a while I was really nervous that I was going to lose my job. It's really scary to be in that situation since I do have a family. Like most families now a days we need BOTH of our incomes to pay the bills, and do some of the fun stuff we want to do.

Now I'm not trying to be too complainy because others don't have jobs, and in our situation many employees have been through this 3 or 4 times. I can't even imagine that type of stress. Coming home everyday I tried not to think about and just go about my day like normal, but hearing it over and over on the phones and having to answer questions from my friends as well. I know that they mean well and they want to know but I really didn't know. I had to remain positive, and that the NHL and city of Glendale were working optimistically to come to a resolution. (Well rehearsed, right?)

Last week we got our goals, and they are HUGE! I'm going to need lots of prayers to hit this goal. Now I'm ready for a schedule to come out and see which teams are coming to the Valley.
