Sports Talent Search Portal Launched By Vice President

With the launch of Sports Talent Search Portal by Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, India touches a new landmark in sports. The portal by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports intends to identify the best talent from among the youth in the country in a transparent manner. The portal gives an opportunity to any youth from any corner of the country to showcase his or her talent thus reducing the hurdles and barriers that hinder any suitable talent to gain its right position it deserves. This, in fact, is a path breaking initiative in the field of sports. The launch of this portal at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi was in the presence of Vijay Goel, Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports; Injeti Srinivas, Secretary, Sports; Khel Ratna and Arjun awardees sports persons, and thousands of school children.

A series of cultural performances were good to add a different kind of flavor to the event. While launching Sports Talent Search Portal, Venkaiah Naidu says that such an initiative aims not only to help in identifying the best talent but will also create a transparent and healthy competitive environment. In addition, it will also provide a level playing field to all the applicants.As he rightly says that sports are an integral part of nation-building process. It helps in multiple ways not only in terms of individual development but also in community development. In addition, it creates an environment of social inclusiveness and economic development. Identifying and developing right talent is a critical factor in enabling any nation to become a sporting power.

Sports Talent Search Portal Aims To Harness Talent

India has one-seventh of the population of the world. There is a plenty of talent in the country especially with more than 450 million youth. As a matter of fact, India is overflowing with talent. But we lack in harnessing it for which there is a dire need of a robust system to spot and nurture talent. This is the best approach to develop world champions. That is the sole aim of Sports Talent Search Portal. In fact, this portal has all capabilities to be a game changer. It will definitely help Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and Sports Authority of India select the best. He emphasizes that sports are about physical fitness, mental alertness, and personality enhancement. In the same context, he also mentions National Sports Talent Search Portal aiming to harness the potential of sporting talent in the country.
