Sunday Social
It's Sunday so that means I answer questions that Neely asks from the Sunday Social. This week is all about my blog! 1. What is the name of your blog? Life of A Sports Wife. Duh.. you are here right.. How long have you been blogging? I have been blogging on this blog for about 2 years. (on this particular blog) A while ago I went back and deleted a bunch of posts for some reason. I really wish I didn't do that but oh well. Live and Learn Right.

I had another blog at first too that was just for me which was more of a faith based blog. It was called Through the Storms. I was a born again Christian using the blog as a way to vent what was going on in my life, and trying to make mends with things from my past. 2. Why do you blog? I have always journalled (if that's a word and if it is spelled right) since I was younger. I find it very relaxing and a way to look at things objectively. It is said that writing is better because it relaxes the brain and forces you to think about you are writing. I started Life of A Sports Wife, but it wasn't called LOASW. (I don't remember what it was called though) I was writing to show our friends and family what Gary and I were doing with our lives in OKC. Gary had just accepted a job in OKC & we were away from everyone. I wish I knew what I know now about blogging because we did a LOT of DIY crafts for the wedding. It would have been nice to post them here since our amazing wedding photography didn't take ANY pictures of those things. I changed to LOASW in April-ish 2012 when my friend (who also blogs), Falen from Upward Not Inward (would link but she is talking a blogging break) took me to a blogger meet up. It really wasn't a meet up but an OKC conference on how to build your grow your blog. That's when I really kinda maybe thought about my blog as a brand. I changed a few things which included the name of my blog to be LOASW. It's now January 2014, and I really have embraced that I AM Life of A Sports Wife. My husband works in the sports industry, and this is what our lives revolve around. Yes, my world sometimes revolves around sports but that is not who I am. I love sports, but I also write about faith, DIY crafts, books, fitness, and whatever else sparks my fancy. Which believe it or not is a lot of things. I like trying new things and be adventurous. 3. What is the first blog you ever followed? I honestly don't know the first blog that I followed. I'm sure Neely was up there. Erin at Living In Yellow. Raven from Don't Quote the Raven. 4. What is your favorite post you wrote in 2013? My favorite post last year was probably being official. I don't know what it is but I LOVE that I dropped the .blogspot to my blog. I feel like a big kid even though I am still think of myself as a small blogger. These were not my posts but I had different bloggers guest post about their favorite College Football teams in August. It was so much fun to prepare and also read them. 5. What are your blogging goals for 2014? I want to finish working on completely the brand Life of A Sports Wife. I am working on a post talking about me debating on changing the name and what I chose to do.  I really want to grow my blog this year. I want to double in readers, but also create a community as well.  I also want to have quality content. I just don't want to blog because I need to blog everyday I want the information to be something everyone can relate to and also showcase my life and where I am in our life.  6. Top 3 favorite blogs to follow? This is so hard to pick only 3 bloggers because I write about so many topics and each blogger is amazing. Long time favorites:

Marquis from Simply Clarke
Mal from Mal Smiles
Rachel from Postcards from Rachel
Deidre from Love, the Skinnys

Recent favorites:

Kate & Adam from The Florkens
Amber from Mr. Thomas & Me
Stephanie from Not Entirely Perfect
Kym from Travel Babbles
To be honest I could go on and on because there are so many bloggers that I love.
