A family tradition I can think of is opening one Christmas present on Christmas Eve then waiting for the rest!!! I used to love that as a kid!!!!

Please!! I'm a night owl but not intentionally. I'm an addict to diet coke, DIY's, and nail polish. I blog about anything from my latest manicures, recipes, deals to my every day life as a full time mother, daughter, sister, friend, & girlfriend! So grab a {donut} or a drink and join me!!
When I was growing up we would always spend the night at my grandma and grandpa's on Christmas eve so that we could wake up and all be together on Christmas morning! Now that I'm getting older, I hope to start some traditions of my own.

Every Christmas Eve, we would load up in the car and spend the night driving around looking for Christmas lights. I still love gawking at them at age 30!

Christmas is one of my favorite times of year and has always meant quality time spent with family and good food. As a kid, my brother, sister and I would always wake up super early to open presents and then our closest family members would come over to our place for a big feast. The house was always filled with so much love and laughter. This is the first Christmas my husband and I have been home for in over 3 years, and while I may not get to spend the day with my immediate family, I am excited to spend it with his, sharing in their traditions and celebrating our first Christmas as Mr and Mrs.

One of my family traditions is going to the same church for the same mass every year for Christmas Eve. We have been going to the
4:30 service since I was in 2nd grade, and we go to the church that I grew up in. This is a big deal now because my parents live in Boston now. So what we do is we go to the 4:30 service at this church in southern Maine and then drive up to our lake house in central Maine to spend Christmas there. It's great to see old friends and spend Christmas near our family, since pretty much everyone is in Maine!
