Posted on the 25 January 2016 by Genzelkisses

To start 2016, we must welcome it with a bang by properly taking care of ourselves from head to toe. I got this box last year December, ( it still feels strange to say "last year" when it has just been less than a month that has passed) and I thought that it's gonna be a great first beauty post for 2016.

BDJ Box Elite - The 2016 Beauty Standard
L'Oreal Paris Exclusive

For this month's box, BDJ Team partnered with the leading brand in the beauty industry L'Oreal Paris, to curate a box filled with products that will not only pamper you from your hair down to the tips of your toes but also revive your overall being (I know that's OA haha), to kiss those dry, coarse hair, dull skin, and chapped nails goodbye.

Like the other BDJ Elite Boxes, it comes with a sleeve that reminds me of holidays because of its gold, black, and white theme with a flush of red and blue hues used on the cards.

TADA! Here's everything inside!

Let's start first with the hair. We have 3 hair products, a shampoo, conditioner, and a hair mask. A complete package to treat your locks. I've tried this particular variant of hair care products a couple of times already and I love them, they work for my damaged hair. I noticed my hair is less dry and my split-ends were lessened. Then I use the hair mask twice a week, available in sachet and tub. Sachets are great for traveling while tubs are more practical especially for home use. Whenever I feel like my hair needs extra pampering treat, then I apply hair mas 2-3x a week.

Now for the skin, we got two skincare products included in the box. I love L'Oreal Revitalift line especially their Magic Blur that works as a primer, moisturizer, and facial cream in one. I have in case you're interested.

No Need for contouring as this product will give you that natural looking jawline and V shape effect. I'm excited to try this since I'm really into products or services that will improve my facial shape.

L'Oreal Revitalift Eye Blur
15ml | P750.00
With its Opti-Blur Technology and light-diffusing pigments, it's the first of its kind.
It instantly reduces the signs of skin-aging and fatigue around the eyes.

I tried this right away at the back of my palm and oh boy it works! My skin feeels so smooth, almost poreless. It's a great instant remedy if you have fine lines around the eyes where concealer normally sets in after a few hours.

There are also two makeups included, a mascara and a lip tint. I'm giving BDJ Team and L'Oreal a two thumbs up for this. If I can only wear two makeups, that would be a liptint/stick and a mascara. I'm okay with my natural eyebrows so yeah.

My current most favorite mascara of all time so far is the one from L'Oreal and I'm about to finish the tube. I hope this one is as great or even better!

L'Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Gloss
Shade: 804 Faye
6ml | P500.00
As the next-generation lip color, the Shine Caresse Lip Gloss combines the long-wear power of a stain with the texture and shine effect of a gloss. With 30% water and 60% oil content, this lip gloss exceptionally moisturizes and hydrates your lips.

I already have a darker shade of this called . I liked it but it's too orangey for me tho. This one appears to be lighter and more natural when worn. I like that it's long wearing and doesn't dry out the lips. That swatch on the photo above lasted even after I wake up in the morning and just got off the stain after I scrub it with a bath sponge and soap.

L'Oreal Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Polish
Shade: Flaming Berry
5ml | P199.00
The polish comes with a built-in Top Coat so it glides on smoothly and easily during application. There are 49 modern and fashionable shades available so you can mix and match your favorite hues to complement your every mood, occasion, and look.

Last but defo not the least, a nail polish to complete the look. After opening the box, I immediately tried it on my nails, and yes I have a new everyday shade favorite for my nails! It's very easy to apply, no need for a top coat, and dries fast! Perfect for the clumsy bumsy me hehe.

It comes with a wide brush applicator, so nail polish application is a breeze.

This box is one of those perfect beauty kits that they released. I can use all the products, walang tapon! (no product wasted or to be given away) but of course would be happy to share some with a friend. Subscription fee costs P1,480.00 for the Elite box and total cost of everything in this box is: P3,083.00, which is double of what you paid for. So worth it right? Are you guys excited for their boxes this year? I am too!
