Between 12.30 pm to 12.00 am any time is the right time to walk inside The Clock Tower. I am talking about this exclusive restaurant serving a good range of North Indian, Italian, Continental, and Fast Food cuisines. Actually, it is a pub by nature. But the quality of food and complete satisfaction of the guests is always on top of the cards here. This Lounge and Microbrewery will be celebrating its first anniversary on the coming October 4. Hardly a few days more to celebrate the grand success of this unique restaurant. It is, in fact, unique on various points. Firstly, it aims to have a genuine connection with all the prominent residential schools of India. For instance, the Sherwood block on the first floor of this restaurant has 1969 alumni photograph on the wall. In addition, there are a number of memorabilia from various schools.
These memorabilia include old trophies, unique images, etc from different prestigious residential schools of India. In fact, similar kind of concept you will find in the other sections. Overall, the concept, theme, ambiance, decor, and menu presentation match well with each other in all aspects. There is a smoking room on the first floor and an outdoor smoking zone in addition on the same floor. The restrooms are there on each floor and are worth visiting for the hard work visible on the walls. This is few of those restaurants having their own website thus an online presence.
The Clock Tower Is A Salute To Boarding Schools
The Clock Tower is an altogether independent building just opposite to the South Point Mall on Golf Course Road, Gurgaon. Another landmark is Sector 53-54 Rapid Metro station. Google shows its location soon after the metro station but actually, it is 3 buildings before the metro station. The correction is on the way to editing by Google on management’s request. It is important to find the right place to drop if you are in a cab or your own vehicle. Because otherwise, you will have to take a u-turn that is 200 meters ahead and when you are at the Ibis hotel or South Point Mall side, you will have to cover another 2 kms for the u-turn to come to this side again to reach The Clock Tower. So just start keeping a watch on the buildings around kilometer before Sec 53-45 rapid metro station.
The moment you find a big clock on the top of a building on your left, it is your destination for the excellent experience. The Clock Tower is a 3-floor property having a large number of high-class residential apartments around. An attitude towards uncompromising quality, ambiance, atmosphere, and service makes it a first choice to dine, drink, and enjoy. The rates are a little higher but far less than the quality time you spend here gaining a different level of enjoyment and satisfaction. The ground floor has a wide screen, a bar, and restrooms. Same setup you find on the first floor. But the variants of its theme vary on both the floors. It’s rooftop on the second floor. And on top of it, there is a small terrace having a huge clock. You are in a different world once inside.
You find everything beyond expectation at The Clock Tower
There is nothing more you can expect at The Clock Tower. Let us move on the food part. But before that don’t forget to try their four kinds of special beers especially the Belgian and German Beers. Also, don’t forget to meet the vibrant and cheerful Navjot who is an enterprising mixologist here. Dahi Ke Kebab and Homemade Corn & Jalapeno poppers are two super specialties in the veg starters. In fact, both are highly compellers for a repeat. But then you have to hold on to your tempting desires to explore more. Also, it is better not to compromise another fabulous dish for the sake of it. There is a unique constituent in Dahi Ke Kebab that gives it a sweeter taste. That is Apricot Jam. Achari Paneer Tikka from Indian Charcoal Oven section has a good balance of Achari taste.
The Achari part in the Tikka is not too high to ensure it doesn’t subsidize or overpower the taste of other ingredients and spices. Garlic Bread is far better than what you find at other places. The Clock Tower Pizza gives you an option to stylize it as per your own choice and taste. We had sufficient amount of vegetables topping on it. The pizza is quite juicy too. A suggestion to Chef to try Wheat base to make it a healthy and tastier preparation. Otherwise also, as of now, the preparation is quite tempting to try slice after slice. Vegetable Stroganoff is a must try Signature dish. You might find the vegetable portion a little extra salty. But that might be due to the rice that comes along with it having no spices and salt.
The Clock Tower From Ground To Terrace
From the Desi Kitchen at The Clock Tower, we had Sikandarpur Lasuni Saag with Garlic Naan and Laccha Parantha. Both the Indian bread variants are good. The main course vegetable dish has a rare combination of chilies and sugar. That too to a higher extent, at least for us. Probably that would be the Sikandarpur touch to the Lasuni Saag. Overall, The Clock Tower is a place where you would wish clocks to slow down to get more time to enjoy the food and atmosphere that takes you an altogether different world of joy and fulfillment.
