The Essential One Maternity Range

I was very excited to discover a package from The Essential One waiting for me when I arrived home from my last ultrasound scan. Inside the beautifully packaged wrapping lay the essential LBD 'Lovely Bump Dress' and a Sleeveless Wrap Nursing vest which have quickly become favourites amongst my maternity wardrobe. Both the dress and top are made from 94% viscose and 6% elastane which means they are not only soft and easy to wear and care for, but stretchy and able to accommodate my rapidly growing twin bump easily.

The LBD is, in my opinion, a must have addition to any maternity wardrobe as you can rely on it to make you feel comfortable and good about your changing body shape throughout pregnancy. It is easy to wear and can be dressed up or down and I love the fact that it has ties which let it grow with you during pregnancy and then shrink back down after. I'm 5'5" and it is knee length on me so it would be perfect to wear on it's own in warmer weather (if only we would get some) or with a pair of leggings or tights when a bit colder like now. If like me, you enjoy accessorising your clothes to give them an instant and easy new look, try adding a coloured scarf or sash just above your bump. The Sleeveless Wrap Nursing vest is another great addition to your maternity wardrobe which will see you through pregnancy and beyond with discreet breastfeeding panels to allow for easy nursing once your baby, or in my case, babies, arrive. It is white with navy stripes and has a tie closing like the LBD which allows it to grow and shrink with you as you go from bump to baby. It is another one of those tops that gives you so many options on how to wear it, wear it on it's own over jeans, leggings or a skirt in warm weather, layered over a top in colder weather or, like the LBD, add a belt or sash above your bump to give it a different look again. I really enjoying wearing this top as it is soft and unrestrictive and feels ever so comfortable to wear against my bump. The Sleeveless Wrap Nursing vest is available to buy online and comes in three sizes - small, medium and large and is priced at £20. This top definitely gets the thumbs up from me.
