This weeks theme for The Gallery is 11.11.11, Remembrance Day.  A day where we stop and think and remember all the men and women of the armed forces who were killed during the two World Wars and other conflicts marking it with two minutes silence and wearing poppies. On Friday I saw a photo on facebook with the caption SEAL OF HONOR--Please meet Landon.. his dad Marine LCPL Carpenter made the ultimate sacrifice while serving with the 3/8 in Afghanistan earlier this year.. a month before his son was born. Never forget the price of freedom. This hit home to me how important we have this day to pay respect and take those two minutes to be silent and remember.
So what did Ben and I do this 11.11.11? Well, it was a busy - we played hide and seek, launched numerous rockets, drew some pictures, made an impressive train track with networks of bridges and surrounded by toy animals, then we went out to watch the real trains with Ben on his trike after which we got home and he fell asleep tired from his days activities.
