I hope that blog title is obvious. I haven't always been this confident with my sports knowing knowledge. For a while I would always try and hide it. I still catch myself saying, "I shouldn't know that." Then my amazing hubbie comes to my rescue and says, "It's stuff like that why I love you so much." (He's a sweetheart, right.)
Growing up I would always hear from people "Why do you know that?" "There's no reason why a girl should know that." At first I was super sensitive and would try to cover it up or not correct people when they say a stat wrong. I would just stay quiet. After a while I really started developing my voice, and be comfortable with the fact I KNOW sports. I love it. I enjoy keeping the score at baseball games, reading media guides, and talking with the scouts.
A few weeks ago our work took us to an Arizona Fall League game to get our minds off the current situation. Sorry I can't talk more details. I don't want to get in trouble. (They know I blog!) I was talking with some of the guys about a few of the players particularly Billy Hamilton. This guy is a BEAST!! He stole over 150 bases in the minors last year. Every game I went to he stole at least 1 base SUCCESSFULLY!! (that's crazy) Anyway, off topic again! Then someone asked, "How do you know all this?" I just responded with I love minor league baseball.
Back to his most uplifting and sweetest tweet message EVER.

it's just refreshing to go to your blog. I can only read so many Fashion & beauty blogs before I need a break ;)
Seriously this made my day. Then I remembered a tweet from Megan G. on twitter.

It's alright for a girl to LOVE whatever she LOVES. It's our passion. My passion just happens to be sports. I know I probably need to control it sometimes, but it's me!
