Can’t believe it’s June and summer is about to end without me being able to enjoy the season yet! Yes you heard it right. No beach trip or any summer vacation for me. I guess I was preoccupied with tons of commitments, tasks to be accomplished right away, makeup clients, weddings, and other personal schedules. I’m planning to visit Baguio this month with my partner *crossing fingers*. It was 1999 when I last visited the place.
BDJ Box May 2015 – Kiss Dry Goodbye!
this month’s box is focused on bringing back moisture from head to toe! If you had so much fun and adventure this summer, you will definitely find this box useful!
This month’s stickers: Keep Shining, Beautiful One!
It’s another huge box filled with products that you can use for your hair, face, and body.
Let’s start with the products that I have personally tried.
Dermal Masks P70.00 each
I’ve tried the Pomegranate and Strawberry and I love them! The sheet fits my face. My skin feels more pampered every time. I just forgot where I got them, I think from previous BDJ Box. They are affordable too! Other masks that I’ve used cost P100.00++ each.
“Restore your tired dull skin and welcome its healthy glow with this moisturizing and revitatling collagen facial mask. It contains nutritional active ingredients that nourishes your skin and brings back its natural radiance. Nothing beats healthy looking skin, so add Dermal Masks to your beauty routine and you will surely see the difference. Choose from 36 different variants to address your various skin concerns and you’ll surely find one that suts you.”
Garnier Skin Natural Light Complete Whitespeed Multi-Action Whitening Serum Cream
with SPF19/PA+++, (50ml) – P265.00
Garnier Skin Naturals Light Natural Light Complete Whitespeed Multi-Action
Brightening Scrub (50ml) – P84.00
Aloe Derma Pure Aloe Vera Gel (45g) – P280.00
Nivea 3-in-1 Exfoliating Wipes (20 sheets) – P140.00
Garnier is proven affordable yet effective for me. Check Garnier products that I’ve reviewed. As a fan of whitening products, I’m excited to try the serum cream and scrub. The added sun protection is a plus for me!
I’m a huge believer of Aloe vera gel benefits. It has done wonders to my dad’s bald spots, heals cuts, and relieves skin from irritation but what we have is the plant itself in our little garden at home. It’s so convenient to have it in a tube!
I hoarded Nivea Cleansing Wipes and this 3-in-1 Exfoliating Wipes during the Nivea 50% off sale last month. Absolutely my favorite especially for lazy days in removing makeups.
Colgate Optic White Plus Shine (100g) – P115.00/box
I’ve been seeing #ShiningSelfie contest in social media these days and no matter how much I wanna join, I still have my braces haha! Anyway, Colgate is the No. 1 toothpaste in my list and always houses my shopping cart in the grocery store. Currently using the Charcoal variant. I’ve also tried the Optic White one. Stained teeth is one of my problems having braces and whitening toothpastes are my best buds!
“Shine bright with this new innovation from Colgate that whitens and shines teeth after just one week. It contains whitening accelerators that safely exfoliate stains to whiten teen. It also contains gentle micro-crystal particles that help polish teeth and make it shiner. This is your perfect companion in creating brighter and meaningful smiles. Let the world know you can shine your brightest with Colgate Optic White Plus Shine.”
FS Powder Blush in Twinkle Tan (6.2g) – P350.00
The only makeup that’s included in the box. The packaging reminds me of Chanel compacts. I love this shade, it’s just that I’m not fond of blushes with too much shimmer or glitters. I think this will work well for the body during parties. I would have totally loved it if not for the shimmers. I like the shade though.
“This FS Powder Blush is a Preview Magazine Beauty Award Winner, and rightly so! It blends smoothly and easily for a streak-free natural finish look that gives you perfectly flushed cheeks. It contains Vitamin E for an extra boost of hydration, perfect for our humid weather. It comes in a variety of shades and finishes to fit your every mood. It’s also very handy and convenient, as it comes with a mini-brush that you can use for quick touch-ups throughout the day.”
Samples
Pure Savon Rose Blend Scent & Classic Floral White/Lily Scent
Himawari Dear Beaute Oil in Shampoo and Conditioner
Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion
Cure Natural Aqua Gel
I love the luxury lather of the Pure Savon body washes. The sachet is great for the whole body! The Himawari Shampoo and Conditioner give my locks the right moisture and keep my hair fragrant the whole day! Each sachet can last you up to two uses! Last, is the Cure Natural Aqua Gel which I personally like to gently exfoliate my skin.
Calculating everything in the box except for the samples, the total cost: P1,559.00, another triple the BDJ Box Subscription fee of P580.00. Basing on that ratio, you definitely got more than what you paid for the monthly payment. However, some of you might find grocery items not that appealing. Fortunately, for practical people like me, I’m good with this box. It may not be their best one so far but I find all the items useful! I think it’s only the blush that I will not be using here then the rest, I’ve either put in my skincare box or in our cabinet in the kitchen for our toiletries and bath essentials. I also think they’ve succeeded with their goal to Kiss Dry Goodbye with having these products.
