Vanilla & Co. Pure Shea & Cocoa Whipped Buttercream Scrub in Milky Almond and Honey

Posted on the 12 August 2014 by Genzelkisses

You know how much I love body scrubs. It’s my simple way of treating myself to an extraordinary bath experience at the comfort of my own place. I use body scrubs almost every other day to slough off dead skin cells and allow renewal of the skin. I like using salt scrubs or scrubs in cream form.

I’ve been hearing great things about this brand, Vanilla & Co., for their body scrubs and other bath essentials so I bought this one from Zalora to try it out. I got this on sale a few months ago, but I forgot the sale price. *blame my rusty head, lol*

The packaging is simple and direct to the point. I like their illustrations on their product labels. This one is a small jar, I think they have a bigger jar but the size of this product is enough to last you almost a month. It’s small, that can fit your travel bag too!

Those granules are crushed Walnut Seeds. They are not harsh on the skin. What I like with cream body scrubs it that they won’t leave your skin feeling dry and squeaky clean. I prefer using scrubs that leave my soft and supple. Whenever I use salt scrubs, it’s necessary for me to use moisturizing lotion or body butter after to compensate moisture loss since not all salt scrubs are moisturizing as they claim, based on my experience. This one from Vanilla & Co., leaves my skin soft. I still apply body lotion with SPF after especially if I’m going out.

It’s the Milky Almond and Honey variant and the scent smells just like it. Remember my TCF Goat’s Milk and Almond bath cream? I love it too. Almond scent makes me feel relaxed and clears my mind. Whenever I use body products with almond scent, I really take time in the shower and pamper myself with a luxurious bath.

Overall, it lasted me almost a month and I love it. I would like to try their other variants like Chocolate & Hazelnut or Sweet Pea. One thing that I’m concerned about with cream scrubs is their are a bit messy compared to salt scrubs. Other than that, it’s a great product. Some people don’t like scents of the food they eat to be used on their bodies, but for me it’s okay. It’s just a matter of preference.

Whenever I ran out of body scrubs, I use my shower gel or bath cream together with a bath sponge/glove or loofa to exfoliate. I really love to exfoliate my skin so I make ways *laughs*.

I bought mine from Zalora but I’ve seen Vanilla & Co. products at Sesou stores.

What’s your favorite body scrub? Any suggestions?
