So I've talked about it a little bit about it in the past few weeks about the move to New Hampshire. Technically I should be there today moving our stuff in our new place, but I guess God has a new plan for us. I'm still trying to figure it out and to rest in it.
We are staying another few years in Charleston, WV. Gary got promoted to Director of Ticket Sales with the Power. I am happy for him because he LOVES his job and want he does. I have to admit that I am a bit (extremely) jealous of that. I haven't found my dream job.
This summer Gary and I traveled a LOT this summer. It was a lot of fun, and we saw a lot of baseball games. I hope to be sharing a lot of those stadiums here in the next few weeks. This first stadium is our very own Appalachian Power Park home of the West Virginia Power.

The Power are the Single A team for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The stadium was built downtown 11 years ago. When they moved the team downtown they also changed the team name from the Alley Cats to the Power. Many people think that the name comes from the sponsor of the field (Appalachian Power Park), but it is actually because West Virginia has a vast amount of energy sources across the state. (This is from the WV Power website. I didn't know this.)
This baseball season was so much fun! I loved getting to know so many of the players wives and girlfriends. I even got to know some of the families as well. I wrote on my facebook towards the end of the season that I hope I see you again next year, but then again I hope not. This isn't a dig but I want them to go to the next level and be awesome! I would LOVE to see them again next year but that selfish.
This is right behind home plate. Each year the WV Power select a few people/teams/etc to be included in the Hall of Fame. Brewers OF Ryan Braun who played here when they were a Brewers affiliate is included on the wall as well. When we first got here they were so not nice words written on his. I still love him! (Only because my husband is a Brewers fan. I still rep my Braves.)
If you come to West Virginia and want to come to a Power game, you must spend a little time in section 107. We have a regular named Toastman. He has cheers for every single player for the Power. He also throw toast around when the opposing team strikes out. I love it. I haven't sat in this section yet, but maybe next season.
Another awesome section that I have grown quite fond is THE ROWDIES!! They sit right above the third base dugout. On the concourse level there are some picnic tables and that is their spot. Season ticket holders with the Power get to enter the ballpark 30 minutes prior to everyone else. I love getting to know them this season.
I am actually excited for next season because the Power play EVERY SINGLE South Atlantic League at home! I'm hoping the Tyler Spoon (former Arkansas baseball player) to be playing for Greenville Drive. I think it would be wishful thinking if both Spoon and Bentendi be at the game.
