I ended my last blog wishing I had bought more waffles in Amsterdam. To my suprise I have managed to find not one but two different brands of these special waffles. Read on to see how they compare to Amsterdam’s mighty waffles.
I picked up these Meli honey waffles on my last day for only 35cents. They tasted so good, the honey flavor stopped the waffle from being too sweet and sickly.
Star Buck’s Caramel Waffles. Two for £1. They had the same chewy texture but they ultimately lacked any flavor.
I was quite excited to try these and I had already munched my way through half the pack before I remembered to take a photo. I never did count how many were in the pack but I would guess around 8/10 and these only cost 99p. They had the accustomed chewvy texture and the caramel added a sweet flavor to the waffle. I give them four elephants because they are too addictive.
The bottom line is none of the waffles compare to those in Amsterdam. So if you ever find yourself walking around Amsterdam with a sweet tooth you know what to do!
