The month of October has been very nice to me. For the whole month, I won 4 giveaways! It’s been a while since I last joined giveaways. I feel so blessed and really am thankful. To God be the glory! I first won this giveaway courtesy of L’Oreal Professionel Philippines from Shari of The Misty Mom. I honestly just want to meet her in person and beauty bonding is just a bonus. Luckily, I won her giveaway! Thank you so much Shari! Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to go to Philippe Tordjman Le Salon at Sofitel because of work schedule issues. I felt so bad that day. But God is just so good that I was able to meet Shari the next day for It’s a Brow Date Event at Wink Laser & Wax Studio.
Then, while browsing on Facebook, I saw this giveaway from Ina of I Am Baby Panda . I just tried my luck and joined the giveaway then last Saturday, I was announced as the winner! YEY! This time, our hair pampering session will be done at Tony & Jackey, Festival Mall Branch. It is just a 20 minute drive from our house if there’s no traffic.
Tony & Jackey – Festival Mall
I’ve heard about this popular Korean Salon ever since I transferred to Beda Alabang but I never had the chance to try any of their services. Until finally, here I was! ^_^ I love their salon. It’s incredibly spacious. Even if a lot of people will come in, it won’t look crowded and they have enough staff to attend to their clients. They offer drinks (tea, coffee, water) too. They have long couches on their waiting area. Mirrors everywhere + good lighting. How I wish it is like this wherever I go! *laughs*
Me with Ina. Look at our before hair color ^_^
I decided to go for red head but not that drastic as I am not so pale to sport the look. Thanks to those who suggested me this hair color. I first want to try and go blonde (something I’ve never done before) but since my hair is short, I think it won’t look that great even with highlights and all so I’ll reserve that for the future. For now, let me be on fire with my hair *wink* By the way, I asked them for Chocolate Red but they don’t have a shade similar to it so they suggested me this particular shade – 6.66 (Dark Extra Red Blonde) L’Oreal Majirel.
Hair Color Application
My stylist was Filipina while it’s Korean for Ina. I apologize as I forgot to ask her name. She’s good and I love how she took care of my hair. She instructed briefly her assistants on what to do.
Look! That’s Ina over there beside me! After the hair color, our hair was wrapped with cellophane and exposed to heat. If you’re a follower on instagram (@genzelkisses), you’ve probably seen my post where I thought I was in a spaceship because of those red lights at my back *LOL* But yeah, seriously.
After a few minutes, it’s time to work on the roots and finishing touches.
Then it was timed 8 minutes I guess, before they rinsed my hair with shampoo and conditioner. Above is blow-drying time.
Viola! My new hair!!!
Most of the time, my hair color is DIY. I’ve tried having it done on some not so popular hair salons but I’m not that satisfied until this day. It’s my first time that my hair was instantly and perfectly colored. No patches or discolorations on some parts at all. I love it!
By the way, that keyboard over there is used with their built-in monitors in their mirrors! Yes, you can watch movies and do anything you want using their computer while enjoying your hair pampering treat.
without flash / with flash
The color is not that noticeable on the left photo but in flash photography and under sunlight, it’s vibrant! After washing it the next day, the color seems lighter and somehow obtrusive. I also enjoy the shiny effect of my hair. It doesn’t feel dry or damaged. It’s super soft and smooth!
I love Ina’s hair color too! It ended up like a blonde > rose red ombre! Ahh, I apologize as the photographs don’t seem to give justice to how pretty her hair is in person.
After two days, this is how my locks look like under direct sunlight. Photo taken around 9am in the morning.
I love it!!! I’ll try to go lighter on my next hair color. Still in red shade.
with Ina of IAmBabyPanda
I love my new look! I would like to thank I Am Baby Panda and L’Oreal Professionel Philippines for this #WearYourColorProud Project! My new do enhanced my skintone and gives a boost of confidence as a young Filipina.
