First of all I apologize for all the link ups this week. I think I have done one everyday this week. These are all great links up. This one I haven't been doing as often as I should or wanted. I love this link because it gives you a change to get to know me better as a person, and not just Jessa the "Sports Wife." Each week Lauren from The Albrechts Blog and Hayley from A Beautiful Exchange will announce the question for next week, and we link up. Easy Peasy! This question was one that I couldn't pass up. Why do you blog? Tell us what got you started, what keeps you going, or where you want to go! This is your chance to tell us why you invest your time here day in and day out.
I started blogging in late 2009 when I regave my life to Christ. I was doing a bible study that I can't remember the name but it's a big all over the world study. It's a year long study that rotates every 7 years. That year it was all about John. I absolutely fell in love with the bible study and wanted to get back on the right track. I started that blog as way to write what I was thinking and making all the mistakes right. Also I had a facebook who wrote on her facebook each day for a whole year (without repeating) something that she was thankful for. It struck a chord with me and made me want to do that too, but I chose a blog platform instead. Then I started a 2nd blog because we were moving to OKC in 2010. (Don't ask me why I started another but I did at the time. Gary had just accepted a position with the Oklahoma City Redhawks. (I know if you look at the archives it doesn't go back that long. Keep reading.) I wanted to show our friends and family our life and what we were doing. We were also planning a wedding, but I failed to blog about that. A while back ago (I don't remember when) I deleted a bunch of my old posts. I didn't like them for whatever reason. Why I didn't put them in 'revert in draft' is beyond me. I continue to blog because we move around so much for his job. We are nomads basically. It's a great way to get "girls time" because to be honest it's tough to go out and meet new friends in town. Also its tough when you are constantly moving around so much. I love to blog because I have friends everywhere. There is also a blogger just around the corner. Plus almost every state has a blogging community to get involved in. Sad thing: I haven't found one for West Virginia. I have found only a few blogger in WV. If you know anyone let me know. I would appreciate it so much. I really don't know where this blog is going to go but right now I am enjoying it. Now to a blogger that has turned into a real life friend is Rebekah from Living Lavender. She started her blog as a way to lead a calming and fulfilling life. Living Lavender is place you can go to find amazing DIY crafts, anything glitter, and being real about anxiety. Now show her some love. Bloglovin // Twitter // Facebook // Pinterest
