40 Years and 10 Reasons

Sometime tomorrow I will wake-up from the effects of anesthesia and realize that I just celebrated my birthday on an operating table.
Although it's doubtful that I will be coherent, I know that deep (deep!) inside I will be happy to be alive.
These are ten reasons why I am blessed beyond words to have graced this earth for 40 full years:
(in no particular order)

1. I made it out of surgery alive, minus one organ.  (Oh well.  I will live!) 
2. I'm walking and moving even though I was told I wouldn't be able to. (I have nine lives baby!)  
3. I married a man that loves me as much as a "pimple on their side" (on a bad day) or tells me that he "loves being married to me." (On a good day).
4. I married a man that makes me laugh (Read above), cry, laugh, think, dream, hope, and trust in me. (And he's absolutely handsome in so many ways!)
5. I have the cutest pug child in the whole-wide-world. (No disagreements allowed)
6. I have the best parents and had the best childhood anyone could wish for. (RIP Dad, I miss you)
7. My mom has officially celebrated her fifth year of cancer remission! (Can I get a woot-woot?!)
8. I have a career, not a job, and just celebrated my fifth year being an entrepreneur. 
9. I've had the opportunity to meet some pretty some amazing individuals throughout my life.

And the most important reason I will celebrate my birthday (once I am able to toast with an adult beverage):

10.  I am living my life exactly the way "I" want to live it.
