Theres no way I can even try to describe the amount of delicious food and alcohol we threw down last weekend. Hector and Javier outdid themselves and cooked a feast on Sunday. More friends had planned on going, but some were out of town, some had to work, so all in all it was just more for us. Sprunger swung by with his travel cooler and 7 bottles (pictured above, bottom right). Then once Syl and her friend Tammy (aka "Mona Alotta") showed up (don't ask) it was on. Jeez it's been like 3 or 4 days and i'm just barely finishing up the leftovers. Didn't even plan on it being a BBQ long weekend, it kinda just happened. Sunday was an all day event and then when Monday came around I got a call from Hector around 2 in the afternoon and i'm telling him "Dude, come on over, i still have plenty of food." Hector ends up calling Javier not too much later: "Hey, come over back to Eric's. Just finished eating. Still plenty of food." which of course evolved into ".. and bring some beer." and there you go. Fast forward about an hour later and Javier brings his daughter and another friend (aka Wild Bill) and we're officially into part 2 of our BBQ weekend. 2 am rolls around and i've just had a 36 hour BBQ. Good times.
The weather has been spectacular the last couple of days. When i can turn off the a/c and open up some windows and the leave the backdoor open it's paradise. Now i know what people in San Diego must feel like. (Note to self: move to San Diego when you grow up) I'm hoping this lasts a while. I just ordered some patio chairs and a fire pit yesterday so i'm looking for those nice cool nights to hurry up and get here so i can kick back with a cold one outside by the fire and enjoy. Speaking of enjoying the day, it's waaay too nice to be inside. I've got some checks to go cash (thank you Ignite), a quick errand to run, and then i think i'll find a spot outside to enjoy this perfect day.
