Compañía De Café Joins the North East Valley

A friend told me a few months back about a new coffee shop that opened in an area of San Fernando (North East Valley) that had long been forgotten.
Growing-up in Sylmar (Bordering community), I was familiar with the stretch of Maclay Avenue she spoke of; and to be honest, other than one restaurant that I frequent when I visit my family, there hasn't been a reason to stop by this side of town.

So on a sunny weekend afternoon, I picked-up my mother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew to visit Compañía de Café, located at 110 N Maclay Ave. in San Fernando.

First, and probably the most important thing to note: The space is GORGEOUS!
Exposed brick walls, tall ceilings, hand-painted tiles, and perfectly arranged furniture and Mexi-Chic decor makes Compañía de Café inviting while at the same time elevating the coffee shop experience.

The menu at Compañía de Café is diverse yet fanciful; drinks have uniquely infused Latino flavors that can be found in a not so average drink. If you don't agree, just try the Tamarindo Iced Coffee for a refreshing flavor explosion.
The food was not only presented beautifully, but it also had subtle Latino flavors that danced on your palate.

I have since gone several times since that initial visit. Each time I'm more impressed with the service, but most importantly, the beautifully presented food and drinks that celebrates the Mexican culture.
